Sam, can you elaborate on the stock adapter? The adapter only works with the supplied adapter?

Im #15 on the list. I may get an adapter before I get my first MG stamp aproved.

The benefit to me is that it is something else to spend my kids inheritance on, I've never been one to justify my toy purchases after taking care of my family other than I can afford them and I want it.

As someone with a m10/45 and a m16a2 my first thought was stuff like the 9mm belt fed upper. Its blow back so it will be really hard on the fire control pins in the m16 lower. I'm interested in this thing as a cheaper host to run stuff like that on. Put more of the stuff that will cause more wear and tear on the cheaper gun. Depending on how the adapter works it might put very little wear and tear on the m10 lower.

You don’t have to have the stock adapter to use the Tenco adapter but it helps if you want a stock on it. We have loads of video as I have already said. You will all understand soon but our video poster is STILL busy with waitlist emails!

This is awesome.

Looking into getting a second MG and the M10 is currently in the top 3 but sadly the funds are not there as of yet. Hope this doesn’t drive M10 prices thru the roof over the next year or so.

I’ll have to look into a 9mm belt fed

Thank you Joe and "rparsons3". This project and getting it to market, including filing a Provisional Patent through a patent lawyer has been so very complicated. When I started down this path, I had no idea how difficult it really would be. When I started development, my good friend Tom told me, how ever long you think it will take to do something, double that amount of time, and then double it again.

The proof of concept I thought would take a couple weeks. It took two and a half months. I was hoping to do the proof of concept for around $750 to $1,000. It was $4,600. At $50 to $100 per hour, it is easy to run up a $2,500 engineering bill in a couple of weeks. I'd like to think if I had it to do over again, I'd like to think that I would still end up wear I am. Again, thank you for the kind words.

Now that is the most wishful thinking I have seen in a very long time.

Contacted PS today and got on the list for the M-10 .

You know hell has froze over when the phat mac gets a upper 1st.

Only other time i know of the M-10 getting a upper before any other mac was when Ingram invented the M-10.

Pretty happy here and with Sam handling distro. It adds piece of mind.

Thanl you A&S for doing this.

...There is no reason for this unit not to work as an M16 because it adapts the M10 lower to BE an M16 which is already a proven platform...

I hate to be "that guy" but I'm seeing some pretty scary parallels to the BRP XMG here.

The BRP is an MG34 "upper" that uses a complete AR15/M16 lower as a clip-on FCG. BATFE ultimately ruled that it's OK to use one with a semi-auto lower, and with a post-sample M16 lower, but that using one with a transferable M16 lower (or DIAS/LL as applicable, presumably), meant that you were illegally converting the MG34 upper into a post-86 MG.

With this, it sounds like it works in a very similar manner, except that it's the AR15 that's being bolted to a different MG.

Frankly, I would not be surprised to see BATFE pull the rug out from under this. As a result, I would be extremely hesitant to spend several thousand dollars on one of these.

Caveat emptor.

stoked, looking forward to seeing the project roll out. you'd think NFA folk would be a little more patient. this is exciting news and I'm #52 on the Tenco 10-16 wait list.

The M10 (and later M119) is going to be a better standalone lower / sear than anything short of an HK sear very soon. Shrike uppers! AM15 (American 180 22lr drum) uppers! There’s not a single closed bolt transferable that goes for except for an AC556 that’s under $15k.

The M10/45 is a nice thick lower. These are the best things to stand high round count and different calibers. This is major news!!! Beyond excited for it (as with your heavy bolt).

Nope. This is not the same. STILL

I assume that you're replying to me, but since there's no quote I can't be sure....

To be clear: I don't agree with BATFE's interpretation of 922(o) as it applies to the BRP XMG (and to the many similar cases where they have made similar rulings), but I'm having a hard time seeing how that interpretation doesn't apply given the things that have been said about this conversion upper further up in this thread.

Also, I have no desire to see this fail; I just don't want to see people upset if/when BATFE pulls the rug out from under this, just like they did with the BRP XMG.

This is not a conversion upper but rather an adapter. Didn’t we already mention the proof of concept (which is exactly the same as what you see running) was already approved by ATF? I cannot go into it any more at this time.
