I've literally dreamed of such an adapter. I am so so happy that someone had taken the iniative to create this. Words cannot describe how excited I am. This is like a dream come true and now my desire to own a rr m16 has diminished. More money for uppers I guess :)

I was thinking that the CMMG upper had to be used with their lower because the Glock 21 mags were too wide for a standard magwell. Is there an adapter that let's you use different magazines or do I misunderstand things?
Their upper wont work with other pistol mag lowers because others use a fixed ejector. It might work in a stanag magwell with a 9mm glock mag block. Their LRBHO is different though. People have successfully used 9mm endomags with the guard upper. It certainly might be possible to use the UMP mag block that scott mentioned. You'd have to remove the ejector for it to even be possible. I see no reason why a 1911 magazine block in a 10-16 adapter wouldnt be possible either. Both of these products might flat out not work due to feed angle or magazine height. It wont work with colt mags because they are not single feed.

Apologies, I thought they wanted to gauge interest. I did not intend it as a slight - just my opinion and interest level.

I'm always curious - so I want to see what they have when they get to the SWD M11.

Better?

As of this time, I have added everyone to the respective lists. Again, if you have not heard from me, please email me. Sometimes they get lost in the shuffle. To clarify, I am now tracking three Tenco wait lists. The Tenco 10/16 for the M10, The Tenco 11/16 for the M11/9 and the "380." There is no official name for an adapter in 380 because it may or may not ever be built, but I am starting a list nonetheless. If you need to get on the wait list(s), please email me at: tina@macmachineguns.com.

Now for an additional tease and a little fun, here's a quick video for your viewing pleasure:

The Tenco 10-16 adapter has already been tested with a 5" Guard in 9mm. It ran well but is too fast to get reliable singles. It needs further testing. For magazines I used Endomags from Mean Arms. It is an incert to be used with Pmags.

Have you done any testing with the 45ACP Guard? Full auto delayed blowback 45 is something I really want to have in my life.

Yes, I have a complete Guard .45 pistol. I have a DIAS, but have not shot the upper using the CMMG lower. I also have a couple of MGI modular magwell lowers, one of which has a Grease Gun magwell. The blowback uppers need the mags to be 0.010" higher than the Guard uppers. I filed the mag catch of the MGI Grease Gun magwell. It runs so soft. I have not tried to "tune" it yet. The Tenco has had most of my range time.

Because of my interest in subgun matches I am not really interested in the Glock with the Kriss Vector extensions or the UMP .45 mags as they are less than 30 round capacity
A Gun Smith by the name of Matt Babb, used an orginal standard AR MGI magwell (the early production AR magwells had thicker walls) and modified a 9mm magwell adapter to make me a Thompson magwell. He even made the BHO workas Thompson stick mags have this feature. I use this Thompson magwell with a direct impingement .45 upper. It shoots soft. But the gas pressure drops so fast. The upper barely runs.

Once the Tenco 10-16 is in production, I will look into modifying a Tenco adapter for use with .45. Because of the lines of the M10, we made the walls of the magwell thicker than standard AR magwells. I wanted the extra thickness to possibly make a .45 magwell adapter. There are so many products I'd like A&S Conversions to bring to market. But that is for another thread.

That's what I was thinking, omg your such a tease!! First a video from the back so you can't see the adapter, now a lefty shooter to block it? Ugh!! You bid tease! Lol I love it though!, I've been saying it for years now, the Mac platform is the Dias of tomorrow.
Look at all the one trick ponies out there for way more $$ than any Mac,you'd have to be crazy to not think this once ugly duckling has now become one of the prettiest girls at the prom.

Yea I saw that i hope it’s not on a different plane

Scott if you make the magwell take a gg mag later will that be offered to those who get an adapter on the first few rounds? Also how many of these can you make at a time or in a batch?

It definitely seems funky aesthetically, but it might not be bad functionally. I think that's what sam was hinting at.

I am also interested in backwards compatibility of grease gun mags.

This is great news Scott! Good luck and thanks to Vegas and Sam for getting involved. You know with a team like that it is going to be a game-changer. I have an 11-15 and love it but will get on the list for this too.

It's a great time to be a mac owner.

Grease gun mags are too wide for the AR magwell. You'd have to make a different adapter that was .45 only. Probably makes more sense to use .45 mags that are thinner like Glock or some others have mentioned.
