The increase in price for the mac guns is because of the .556, 7.62x39 and other caliber uppers that are pending tech branch approval for them. There are currently 3 different companies who are in various stages of approval.

So, Mac's have basically taken a huge prince increase due to basically being treated like an auto sear.

Since they're already treated as machine guns, the upper is basically nothing more than a quick caliber change is all.

I agree. I think that Mac prices will likely increase because they've become highly flexible. I've been keeping my eye out for an FNC, and I've seen prices down quite a bit. I haven't seen quite the one I want yet, but they definitely seem to be trending cheaper. And if you look at AC-556/mini-14, they're under 10k now, for the ones that are actually selling on GB.

now mini14 has been around 10k for some time. The stainless go for quite a premium, maybe 20%, but wood stocked ones have been steady at that price. One trick pony, but a real cool one in my book.

The AC556 seems to be a good barometer for MG prices, maybe because of their turnover rate. When prices are higher they go for ~12k/ lower they go for about 9k, pretty consistently. I’ve seen them at both extremes several times over the years & through various market cycles.

I will agree with others here we are prob going to see the top end stuff like HK being sold more and first as people need to downsize there collection to pay bills etc ..But I think the entry FA market will hold its own as people are going to want to keep some of ther collection and MAC10 are good bet for if you can just own one full auto.

Heading into the election who knows .. NFA FA I do see as some chance of going up esp if talk is being made of banning them or stopping any more transfer or in the case of AWB duing like CT ? did and say you can only have FA only no semi auto to avoid it being a AWB stuff .. I do def see mag price and parts pricing go though the roof as we get close to election
