Do individual and be done with it.

41F backfired and made it NFA for all!

The guise was to have a bunch of corps and trusts revoked by a certain group of letter writers and have the market flooded with cheap NFA for those who couldn't get a sig.

It did just the opposite was almost that the BATFE said go ahead and write us again and complain some more.

Instead of a bunch of revoked corps & trusts we got it put down hard that everyone that wan't a NFA tem can now get one.

The back log of wait times alone proves that.

I don't like the wait anymore then anyone else but I look at it like this.

Start now or forever wait!

I have a friend who's attitude is just that.

I don't want to wait so I'm not going to bother.

Know how many NFA items he has? ZERO

I wait like others and have a binder full all real stamps over the last 20 years.

Ya I waited but not as long as my Mr. No Wait No Stamp friend has.

Just write it into your trust or will so there is no family mess to deal with.
If named and sometimes even not named it can transfer tax free to your heir(s)

Rich

I would like a couple of suppressors but as I have a family Trust I'm just not going to fingerprint everyone. 41F effed me. And clearly caused a huge backlog for all things NFA.

start a new trust, get everything in there, then have people sign up on it...no fingerprints...i started a new trust to do that

trump raised it from 7.5 to 9 months....it will get back down in time...plus silence co added 10,000 silencers with their summer promotion in july...gotta get through them....then you will see it drop back down to 5 months or so.

But if people from the Silencerco thing haven't got there silencers yet.... How could they start their paperwork......? So won't the wait times continue to suck as people start getting their Silencerco silencers coming in and then they fill out more form 4s?

My recent form 4 transfer only took 5 months. Not sure if having a C&R FFL helped, but we put it on the form 4.

Yes. The paid silencers caused a flood last summer. The free ones are coming and that will cause another flood and wait increase.

We just received the approved Form 4 for a customer that's been waiting 10 months since his check was cashed. I guess that's not bad by today's standards.

they arent coming in...from what ive seen next to no one has gotten their free 10,000 silencers....but all the ones they bought to get the free ones were july last year...thats what we have to get through before times start to go back down...

silencer co is a joke! at this point and they would have to ship 150 free ones a day to meet their june 30th deadline

Ive seen several recipients of the free silencers on reddit. Still the vast minority. The second flood is coming. Wait times wont be going down any time soon. I do not think sico will make their deadline, but they are slowly working through their backlog.

Coming up on a year. How many they delivering ?

Hundred a month ?

My dealer got 1. I think she said 10-12 to go. If that’s their % they have delivered 800 or so

I’ll bet im close

A year from now I’ll bet they are still working on them

My dealer talked to his SiCo rep. Nothing was said directly but he got the impression that most of the “free” fans are being built and will all ship at once. If this is true them it would mean they have been building inventory just to dump them in the system all at once.

It’s what they seem to like to do. Maybe it’s free advertising ?

To me? I’m not happy with how they handled the process and will buy elsewhere next time

You're just moving at the Speed Of Government, man. Nothing unusual about it at all. Remember, despite the happy slogans these people are here to prevent you from engaging in commerce, not assist it. And

interestingly my corp F4s always have taken 10-14 months. Always. Was that way 10 yrs ago and is now. No change. I have averaged 12 mo F4s forever.

I've found the the best way to deal with it is to always have a few items being processed....that keeps a steady trickle of them being approved to you. Think of it as a bond ladder. hah
