why would anyone want a retro AR? if given the option id want the most modern/best AR out there...i chose a Piston M4 for my AR......id have no interest in a A1 if given the choice between a 1970's style vs 2017 why would you want an out dated gun?

dont see the purpose

are 1970's AR's worth extra $$??

i sold my early 90's Sporter II for $800....it wasnt a coveted or special gun as far as i knew.....maybe i was wrong and should have kept that gem

I think we are only talking about transferable mgs for this thread and in my opinion a Colt factory mg is a Colt factory mg. If you're going to shoot it then probably all parts are going to be replaced except the receiver. Over 99% of people who own transferable M-16s or AR-15s will never need the reinforcements made on the A2 receiver due to not jumping out of an airplane with their expensive transferable mg. I know several people who have had or currently own transferable msg and not 1 of them have jumped out of an airplane with the gun. To me no big deal what the gun is marked or if made between the 60s-86 as long as it's a legal gun with a happy switch.

I just saw this on subguns and thought "there's one born every day"

NEO

I got a good laugh about it being 10% off the "regular price" of $55k. How can such an irregular item have a regular price? lol
Most are selling these in the high 30's range I thought. He is obviously fishing for some deep pocket buyers that don't know any better.

$78,500.00 a new record for Colt MG?

Spiwak just listed several transitional A2 carbines, a POUSG with ACR features, a POUSG with M203 several others and.............

An ACR prototype for $78,500.00

US property 6000206...thats the lowest serial # ive seen by far...not sure if they went in order or not

good news is prices are attempting to rise....wonder why he thinks a flat top is worth $5,000 more than his normal govt. marked A2.......i dont know when the flat top was made and if its a fake or a real deal.....if its real i could see $1,000 extra....but time will tell....he has been selling most of his guns lately and has had great deals for 2017

the one pictured above appears to have a modern black finish also

its been over 2.5 years now +....nothing has happened ATF wise....i doubt anything will...its all over the forums..its not a secret

some day it will be the last chapter in a M16 book
