The first production run will probably be 50. What we typically do is have a first article machined, inspect it, assemble it and test fire it before proceeding with a production quantity. This all happens within a day so the CNC mill is not left sitting idle.

Mechanically, the top half of the MAX-10/31 is identical to the MAX-31 mk2. The bottom half is identical to the MAX-10 mk2. The bolt is a modification of the MAX-31 mk2 bolt to make it wider at the bottom to make contact with the sear and trip.

how many Max 10/45 mk2's have you sold over the years?

im always curious why there is so many more options for the M11....is there just that many more made? seems like i see more mac 10's for sale on GB

When I was looking for my first MG in late 2014 the advice here was overwhelmingly to get an M10. So I got a M10/9 and thought it was cool for a few months, then got the lage 10/9 MK2 upper for it which is an awesome, awesome upper that turned the bulky bullet hose into a bulky SMG.

In mid 2015 I got my M11A1 large magwell....and soon upgraded with a Max 31A mk2 amd Max-31k.

Because of the sheer awesomness of the Lage M11A1 platform, I never shoot my M10 anymore....I mean there is no comparison....with my M11A1 I have the option to bullet hose 380, shoot endless suomi drums, or the nice tight 31k package combined with 50 round Zmags.....VS the craptastically limited magazine options of the M10...lets see with my M10 I can use 30 magazines.....or 30 round magazines......or ohh yea 30 round magazines lol. I am on the wait list for the Max10/31 and am pleased to see my # is very high, which means there is a goodly amount of us M10ers that want MOOOAAAAAARRRR POWWWAAAHHH hahaha.....anyway I digress

I was strongly considering the Uzi grip option on my M10 combined with a LAGE 45 upper so it would have more diversity with magazines and calibers.....or I was considering selling it towards an M16, but those are gettin a bit too rich for my blood.

In my opinion the M10 is just too heavy and bulky to be a viable SMG and I think recommending a M10 to a prospective buyer in this market vs an M11/9 or M11A1 is not sound advice...Personally, I dont even like the M10s girth in bone stock form and I am a big Guy (6'4 270lbs) that can handle its size....Ever since I had it in my posession, I felt it would be best to pair it with a rifle caliber upper and make it a poor mans SAW or M60.

If Mr. Kind Good Sir Mr. Lage Sir of Kindly Good Sir Lane (whew) makes a rifle upper for the M10 like he is planning on doing for the M11/15.....I predict there will be a HUGE surge in the price of M10s (I think M10 prices would double overnight, especially if a belt fed option existed)......because the M10 frame is a brick shithouse compared to the flimsier steel of the M11s...IMHO the M10 was born to be an LMG :devil

Well I was not one who recommended a M10 as your first MG. I would most certainly would have recommended a M11-9.

i heard the 2nd 50 will be major changes/upgrades and be called the MK2

So I should change my spot from 41 to 51?
Just checking!!!!

I'm hoping it's another month or so otherwise I'll end up selling a rare parts kit to pay for it the way I spend money.

Speaking of a month or so.....

Any update on the ETA: Richard ?

Id recommend the M10/45 all day long

m11 ==9mm...

m10 == 45 AND 9mm

size? whats so big about it? its not a Glock, but its approx the same size as an Uzi.....

price? M10's seem to be $1k cheaper

factory M10 is a tight little package...i dont care if i dont have 50 round mags...30 round GG mags are just fine

i hear people knock the M10/45 all the time.....i dont quite get it.....SHTF id rather have a .45 machine gun

but im also crazy happy to have a 2nd 9mm option

plus if your into history the M10- us special forces----(maybe---at least they trained with it for sure)

The thought of doing the Uzi grip not to my Mac 10 so that I could run 45 uppers is very tempting....but I am more interested in a rifle caliber upper and I am pretty sure those are coming in the next two years...so I am happy with my M10 purchase.

Also in line for the 10/31 which will be fun!

Honestly I just need an M11/9 To add to the family....but I'm too cheap to drop 7k!

Dear Mr. Lage. Just wondering how things are going with the max10/31 uppers? I'm #20 on your list and feeling a bit nervous about a Russian invasion.. lol

I agree on the ROF, my sten is ~600 and it's too slow. 750-800 or so would be perfect.

that's a fast Sten, have you put a timer to it? I need to get the timer back out for my franklin trigger. But even on a clone MP5 with the H&K staple gun trigger, I got to 450 rpm on semi auto.

Richard, how do you find the balance on the overall 31 package between the M11/9 and the much heavier MAC10 receiver. Any differences in handling between the two? Do they work out to the same length? I would really love a K.
