Waiting lists are one thing, but people actually spending money is another.
It won't do me much good to design any extra add-ons if no one is actually willing to buy uppers when the approval letters come in.

I don't gamble. I don't buy lottery tickets. I've got a bit of extra cash. How about I send you a thousand right now for my M11A1 upper. I won't call you or email you. Just send me an upper in a year or two and its all good.

He's not accepting deposits. If you are on the waiting list then you are good.

I'm well aware there is a list. I'm offering to put my money where my mouth is.

I appreciate your offer, but I must respectfully decline.

I am hoping to machine an M11 upper shortly, followed by the baby mac upper.
Ergo, you should not have to wait too many more moons for one.

theredneckengineer, question for you. My PTR x39 seems to be pretty mag sensitive to the one mag that came with the rifle. Do you feel your x39 mag upper will accept all x39 mags? I understand there are variances between the mags but...

Have you tried the Magpul gen2? The feedlips are improved for angle and work great in my 52. Could not find them at the last shoot and bought some Gen 3. Tight as hell in the magwell and will need some work.

Thanks to the generosity of a fellow UT member (Special thanks to my buddy Ken K), I have tried Croatian, Romanian, Polish, Magpul, various Korean, and US-made mags, as well as Korean drums, Romanian drums, and Chinese drums. IIRC all of them run well at this point. However, since I don't have one of every mfg of AK mag on the market, I can't guarantee every AK mag will run without issue.

I've modified the magwell layout itself then I added some adjustment to the magwell where the rear of the magwell can be moved up or down to compensate for feeding and that has all but solved any mag issues I've experienced from my early testing.

Beta drums are fun, I thought the drum had jammed but apparently, I just needed to pull the trigger again to get the last 10 rounds or so. :bang

Yeah NO. Here in CT what we have is all that can be "imported" or have as we had to register our "high cap mags" and can no longer bring into the state. But good to know the options.

I would assume you are limited to either pre-AWB (1994) mags, or whatever was grandfathered in?
What AK mags do you have, or have access to? That makes it easier to answer your original question.

We are only grandfathered in and they had to be "REGISTERED" comrade a few years ago. I have most likely every brand manufactured. Really like 27 different brands/manufacturers. So I would assume I'll have several that will work, plus many different drums. Can't wait to waste some $$$$

Man CT makes me mad. I almost came up to one of y'all's subguns shoots when I live in NYC, but I couldn't find anyone to lend me mags.

An old friend of mine was in town the other day and he was very interested to see the progress with the Mac upper.

Of course, he grabbed the Surefire mag that doesn't run 100%, but the upper still ate it up.
