It is with regret and tear filled eyes that I let all of you know that Tom Wight aka Vegas SMG passed away yesterday. I really don’t have many details but I do know he was in critical care in the hospital around 3 weeks and that the doctors believed it to be an auto immune response to a Covid booster. If anyone learns that I am wrong in the details please correct me.

Tom was a great friend and business associate to us and a wealth of knowledge to our community. He will be greatly missed.

Stay safe out there everyone.

Tragic circumstances; been difficult 2 years for so many.

God bless his departed soul, and God be with his family & friends during this sad time.

That’s terrible news. I bought 3 CFW bolts from him and he was always willing to answer any questions I had.

Oh no.................

This is terrible news, and so sad.

I never met Tom FTF, but he was such a great part of this community, generous with his expertise, help and time.

Many prayers.

Sorry to hear. He will be missed around here. Seems like every week a member on one board or another has passed away.

So sorry to learn of this terrible loss. Tom was a very kind and knowledgeable guy, we spoke often about my Mac projects and subgun unicorns- he always knew the right questions to ask. I can say for certain he lived a full life... its hard to believe he’s gone.

Macsalot,
You are not wrong. The COVID booster triggered a reaction in Tom known as Guillain–Barré syndrome.
He passed away yesterday holding the hands of his two daughters.
He was currently living in Garden Valley ID.
Tom was a long time resident of the Las Vegas area.
We will all miss him tremendously.

Godspeed Tom. Thank you for all you've given here and on the range. I'm glad I knew you.

I hope we can provide kind of posthumous banner we can hang on your profile pic in remembrance.
