They say it is SLM and very rough. People report that the striker block and the FRT surface need smoothing and polishing or it doesn't work.
I think a CNC version is coming soon. I'm waiting on that.

Man the Taurus frt thing is crazy. At least 20 companies including eBay sellers are producing them. It’s like a shark feeding frenzy. Wow…….

I'll have to look into one of those units when the CNC version hits.

Yup taurus hit out of the park with the TX22.
Thing is reliable as my Ruger MKII's and a lot faster on the reset.
Only real thing I think left to make the FRT main stream would be for a gun Mfg to build a system fron the ground up around the frt.
Like franklin does with their binary trigger.

Did she say they are working on changes/upgrades for their guns with a FRT? Steel striker housings, retainer pins and end caps?

Just about the time they add all the features we want, we will need to buy new guns to get them. i would love OEM 30rd mags, steel striker housing, steel end plate and end plate retaining pin.:)

It will be interesting to see which direction they go. What the improvement should be that they are doing would be making the slide heavier. If they tried straight up bypassing any potential to use a frt, they would lose any informed customer from ever buying a taurus again. Only reason I could think that they would have for making it incompatible, would either be aft pressure, or not wanting their gun to be the next ubiquitous ghetto blaster.

Their’s a strong rumor that Glock is redesigning their guns so they can’t accept a switch/frt.

I expect that it ties in with the Taurus “refinement”
