Plenty of room for more weight.

I had to pack bubble wrap into the box the keep the lead flom slapping back and forth or " giggling "
If you have a chunk of pure lead you could hammer it into the shape and fill the whole box.
My 1st though was to just fill it with lead shot until I saw the two spent projectiles on the bench and they dropped right in.
Odd it is a string of 4 and 6 I've been loading 20 per mag just so the plastic sleeve is empty.
I'll have to do a whole mag dump vid and try some lead shot or hammer pure lead I have. See if that slows it down.

ROF with my Gen 2 4.6" TX22 and FRT

CCI Quiets don't cycle the slide
CCI Subsonic Clean 40 gr RN- 1801RPM
CCI Standard Velocity 40 gr RN- 1862
CCI Mini Mags 40 gr RN- 1935 RPM

Can't run more than a round any ammo suppressed with Spectre or Sparrow suppressors.
I think it's and issue with heaver suppressors on the floating barrel. I wish I had a 3.6 oz suppressor.

If you stick a layer of electrical tape to the bottom of the barrel where it mounts and trim it with a razor blade it tightens up the frame to barrel fit. You could also try supporting the suppressor on something and see if that helps any.

I guess I'll just start experimenting with the weighted slide once root's box comes in.

Hoping it shows today said two day shipping when I printed your label.

I have been doing the hunny-dew holloween list today.
I was hoping to get the SP5 and AR 30 carbine on vid along with a tx22 mag dump for ROF assesment.
On the bright side the AZR 3 position showed up today I bought last week.

I just order some TX22 FRTs. I will be selling them next week for $25 shipped. I will post a WTS in the classified with details. Just need to make sure they work then off to my UT amigos. This TX22 ROF is unreal if makes my wife giggle.

Arch, you know vertical grips are illegal for pistols w/o AOW stamps. ;)

I was eyeballing a small chunk if steel about the size of the backplate. It's .435" thick. I put it on the scale and it's .945 ounce. Everyone is getting results with 1.0 - 2.0 oz.

450.5 grains = 1.029714 accourding to the conversion.
I want to go heavier just haven't had the time.
Thanks for the heads up that some are running up to 2.2 oz
Wonder what it brings the ROF down to?
Did print one of those +9 mag bases today, now I need to find a spring for it.

I was doing some numbers over at reddit. A guy with a TORO upper added pine wood derby weight to the under side of a printed optics mount. He was running 40 gr supers and 40 gr subs with no optics and a suppressor. He said he was getting 2300 RPM numbers.

I took my own ROF numbers on the super vs subs using the 1.3 oz weights. My ROF numbers were different but similar to other recordings. Here's what I got with averages between his videos.

Suppressed Supers avg-1943 RPM

Suppressed Subs avg- 1863 RPM

I have a non optic mount TX22 4.6" barrel. I'm still hoping to find a a clean and strong way to add weight to the slide for suppressors.
How about replacing all the plastic parts in the frame with W or at least steel, striker housing, end plate, end plate retainer and maybe longer sights? All we need is 1.3 oz.

I'm probably making this complicated. How about one long steel plate that has front and rear sights, attaches to the front sight screw and the dove tails at the rear?

Now my imagination has peeked. We also need a micro aluminum suppressor and a frame mounted stand off for pushing-in high center mass, press and pull dumps.

Can you somehow use the lightening holes in the slide to attach some weight? Run a few small screws and washers from the inside to hold a weight with nuts on the outside? Not as a permanent solution but for testing. Just brain farting here.

For testing use stick on wheel weights. They should stick for a bit. Normally they have centrifugal force to help maintain the stickiness. But they are pretty sticky by themselves

Well testing was not as expected. I put a full 2 oz of #8 lead shot in the testing box (full) and shot subs. 1 rd fired and the case got stove piped by the slide.

Dumped shot out to 1.3 oz. CCI Subs did not work. CCI SV did not work, CCI MM did not work.I'm not sure if the loose shot (dead blow effect) had something to do with it.
:(

Yes this. Use fixed weight

Initial crack ol dawn tests support that a solid block of fixed lead does work suppressed with SC Sparrow. 2 oz weight works unreliable with subs but good with HV. 1.3 oz weight works with subs and HV. ROF numbers coming soon.
