are these worth a shit?

I like my nice compact nra 14 as house duty and have been wanting to add a rail/light system without looking like I fell out of tapco's ass.

I had one on my Ruger RR looked good on the gun and gives you optic flexibility, other than that, it heats up the space shuttle on re-entry.

I've gotten on my AC-556. It does transfer some heat on full auto, but for a house gun, it shouldn't be a problem. Ike's been in for several thousand rounds of full auto and I've only had to retighten it once. Only gripe on mine is that with the 13" barrel I've lost my front sight.

I have one on my Tantal with a Primary Arms Micro. I'd bet my life on it without hesitation.

I haven't put one on my Mini 14 but I have Ultimak rails on three AK's(maybe 4) and they work really well.

I put one on my Mini-30 in order to mount a Burris scout scope. It's a solid arrangement.

I like mine for my mini. It's the only rail I've found that lets me use a H-1 Aimpoint with the standard mount while also leaving the iron sights visible in the lower quarter of the red dot. There's even enough room to mount a light forward with an offset mount to make it a decent hd rifle. Fits well with the Ruger and the Hogue stocks. There's a slight interference with the side sling mount on the Ruger folding stock but not enough of an issue to bother me. The other rails were all too high to allow use of the irons. I also have an XS Sight rear ghost ring sight that allows a better view than the stock sight with the Aimpoint. At first glance you barely know its there without the red dot and light. Good anodized finish also.

How does that rail install ? Does it have rings to hook onto the barrel ?

Inquiring Minds want to know.
