These are completely caliber interchangeable.

I have some IMI 45 extractors, and they have a lump that prevents the hook from moving towards the center of the bolt as far as the 9mm extractor.

No doubt because the case head on the 45 cartridge is bigger than the 9mm.

I've never tried using the 45 extractor for 9mm, or vice versa, but to look at it, dimensionally it's not the same.

Why would IMI have made two different extractors if they are interchangeable?

No idea. I just know that I asked Tommy Carpenter at Vector Arms and he uses these very extractors in both 9mm and .45 with zero issues. His are IMI specs and completely interchangeable. I just got my .45 conversion bolt from Troy at BarrelXchange and it runs 100% with my extractor I took from an IMI 9mm bolt.

I know a 45 extractor can work with 9mm, but can a 9mm extractor work with 45?
Maybe THAT"S what it was? I'm pretty sure that it allowed IMI to only make one style that worked in both.
The good news is that it seems that the "extractor crisis" may be over.
Now, if there was a way to quickly ID the SARCO ones so that potential headaches could be avoided?

How about just using USPS PriorityMail? We're talking something so tiny that it could fit in an envelope.... I didn't realize you guys were using UPS for these?
$20 for shipping an Uzi extractor is still ridiculous. But, we all know you have a hard to find product, so you know your customers don't have much choice.
That doesn't mean we can't bitch about it. 😝
All kidding and ranting aside, we will be anxious to test these out. After the Numrich fiasco, it will be refreshing to have quality extractors.

scotty57 any chance of different shipping options? I hate to repeat everyone else, but it's over $60 for me buying one extractor with tax and shipping
