Okay. I'm looking at purchasing some 32 rounders for my (as yet) not-received Uzi (hopefully I'll have it approved around 5-10). I know there's a group buy happening, but I was interested in advice on two other mags. One is the type that Ammoman is selling, listed as Israeli Military Contract mags, for $32.50/ea, in quantities of 10 or more, delivered. The other is the type that CDNN is selling. They are listed as MecGar contract mags, for $24.99/ea, plus $9.99(I think) shipping. Anyone have any opinions on either type? I was looking in the Mag identification thread, and the MecGars are rated at Very Good-Excellent for reliability. What are y'alls thoughts on this? Thanks a bunch.

Better do it tonight, because he's stopping taking orders soon. Don't wait until tomorrow and order at the last minute.

Group buy. MEC-GAR was never contracted by IMI to make mags. They do however make a pretty good mag IMHO. I have a few and am pretty pleased with them. I'd rather have IMI's. I added a few mags recently to the tool mark thread to show what a real "contract" mag looks like. IMI required tool marks on all of them. Ask the sellers about the tool marks and shy away from any that don't have a tool mark except those that you know are MEC-GAR. Oh, and did I say GROUP BUY! Karl.

I'd go with the group buy. Its a way to

gain favor with a dealer and you know what your getting.

On a second note, I also like MecGar mags. I just bought some 9mm mags and they look good and function flawlessly.

JMHO.....YMMV

P.S. I usually don't care who makes a mag as long as it works ALL the time. It could be hand hammered by a pygmie (spelling?)
tribesman...if it works ALL the time...I'd buy it.
