UZI Pistol to SBR stock installation

Has anyone installed an original stock plate/hinge on their pistol or Micro?
If so, did you weld the plate right on the back or disassemble the pistol back plate and replace it? Any pictures would be GREATLY appreciated. Im trying to make it as close to factory as possible.
