Uzi pistol

I recent aquired a nice Uzi pistol from the original owner. These hole in the rear of the receiver have me buffaloed. Any idea what they are for? Both are threaded and in the middle set of indents. Any help is appreciated.

PO trying to attach a stock is the only thing I can think of. I'd try to get rid of them if it was mine.

Title II Arms used to make a Micro Uzi style stock for the Uzi pistol. It was attached with two screws in the backplate. Of course you need to SBR before you install a stock.
