My folding stock on my rr IMI broke this week. A weld broke where one of the metal arms is connected to the butt of the stock.

Who can reweld this for me?

Full size Uzi or mini?

Full size. I want to repair it because the finish matches my gun.

Well this doesn't help but after you weld it , it won't match unless you can figure out how to match the paint or Parkerizing .

The weld would be on the inside of the butt and hard to see. Is the metal thick enough to use a stick welder? I have one at my hunting camp.

It's not going to match once you zap a welder to it. The whole idea of welding is to melt the metal together. Even in small quantities like a spot weld.

Drill holes on either side of crack. Zip ties

+1....or bailing wire if no zip ties on hand.

see...all these useful responses.

adds up to just buy a replacement stock basically. Try to match it up as best you can i guess...mess with the stock and not RR of course.

dang.,..how 'd you break a uzi stock anyhoo? while i have had the misfortune of running out of ammo and having to attack the paper with the bayonet I've never had to hurl my Uzi at the target

Buy a replacement stock. Probably cheaper and easier than fixing the broken one.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

I can't believe it took until post #12 to mention duct tape. I would agree with what has already been said. Purchase a replacement. Then if you want try and use the stick welder to fix the old one. That way you can take you time. If you manage to get it welded up and it works then you can list the new one on here and probably get your money back.

Welding it will change the finish color in the area, likely to a brown color.

Best bet is to just look around for a replacement that looks like the color matches.

A lot of people don't have a sense of humor. That's OK though.

I laughed.

I cried.

It moved me and became a part of me.

And no one even brought up goats, crisco and packs of firecrackers.

Oh well.

I don’t think our humor was appreciated...

It is much appreciated. I am in possession of duct tape, bailing wire, zip ties, jb weld, and a welder. My options are open. I will post a picture as soon as I figure out how to use a new picture hosting website. Any ideas on the best website would be appreciated.

It broke while we were shooting last week. Must have been a bad weld.
