I've no personal experience, but Bill Springfield (triggerwork.net) does trigger work on semi and full auto Uzis [as well as numerous other firearms].
Best of luck, whatever you decide to pursue.
MHO, YMMV, etc.

Trigger tuning can be dangerous on an Uzi the way the fcg works with the drop down sear. With Some hand filing and polishing you can slightly improve. Have to keep in mind top cover clearance, top cover is realistically the only thing that keeps bolt engaged with sear

My opinion is that an Uzi is not a precision firearm. Its job is to quickly throw a lot of lead in a controlled manner over a relatively small area.

That's all I ask of my GI / Vector gun, and if it were my dog, it would always get a jerky treat for a reward.

Of my open bolt guns, the Uzi's trigger isn't the best (that'd probably be my Sterling) but it's far from the worst (that's definitely my S&W 76). As others have said, an open bolt SMG is never going to have that perfect glass-rod-breaking trigger pull.

Have you shot any other Uzis? Do you have a spare bolt and/or lower you can try? Maybe there's something off with yours. I don't find my IMI conversion's trigger objectionable at all.

A trigger overtravel stop can improve the feel somewhat without compromising sear engagement / geometry.

Bill Springfield did mine. It went from 7.2 lb to 4.9 lb and feels much better. I have used it a lot since then and it has been 100% reliable.

It looks like there is something on that earlier post about he's hit or miss. He did the trigger on my SA Vector (many many years ago), and 2 mags later I had a runaway gun, and had to buy new components to fix it.
