Vector charged me $50 for special finish

I ordered full-sized Vector UZI with special powder coat finish for additional $50. I¡¯ve seen a recent thread where someone got this finish for free. Am I missing something here?:(

VECTOR outsources their finishes...

If your timing is right & they are sending out a batch ...you might get a price break.

Should I call back and demand the $50 back? I'm planning to order one more but I still want the powder finish. Who should I talk to about this situation so I won't get charged again?:heavy

Im not trying to be a prick, vector does not paint the gun in house, they subcontract it to be done. This is why there is a additional charge, If they are doing a bunch of them at the same time they will give you a discount, mabey 5-10 dollers maber 20 depending how many they do.

In my opion vector is the most honest company out there(besides me of coarse):)

DSSPRO, thank you for your reply. I’m still newbie and I wasn’t sure whether Vector charge extra for powder finish or not. :)
I read a recent thread where someone got the finish for free and I guess it confused me a little…
Personally, I don’t mind paying extra for a better finish, and I’m thankful to vector for great UZI at an affordable price.
Again, I appreciate all of you for sharing your thoughts with me! :beer

I inquired at Vector this week about the powder finish and was told that they sub contract that out but do their own parking, for what ever that is worth. So 50 bucks to powder it ain't a bad deal IMO.

The powder coat goes over the park. Vector grey parks their Uzis (eeww!), so to get it black or close to the orginal finish you need to have the extra coatings.

when I bought my vector new, the powder coating was a $50 option. I opted not to get it since it can chip off.

Grey Park is original

Grey park is the original color of the Issued and used UZI SMGs but because U.S. manly mans who never carried a black gun in the desert heat had to have black, IMI decided to paint the Semi Auto guns black to make them desirable to those who spend most thier time rubbing thier guns in front of the TV set.

Black finish material

Is the black finish a 'moly' finish ? It shouldn't come off under normal handling. I'm having my G3 reparked and finished off with HK satin 'moly'.
