Still patiently waiting for the 12. No idea what my wait-list no. is.

I get it. I have been super sick for 2 weeks so I haven't thought about material possessions. I feel better now so my thoughts have returned to anxiously thinking of the 12. I selfishly called today for a ETA on the 12. Got the voicemail. Sadly a kitten may have been scarified when I called.

Not much of a write up…it’s flat shooting SMG with cyclic rate around Swedish k or Sterling maybe touch faster. Easy suppression with no blow back in eyes.
That's great to hear!! The Versa is one of the driving factors for me to (finally!) get a suppressor...

I received #30 today. I think that I got on the list in October.

All over the place!
I didn’t get on the list till January, so there’s not any use asking where I’m at. ?.

Although I did joke with Richard the last time I saw him!

I've had two outings with the VERSA 12. I've tested the Glock module both times. I used 12 - Glock 33 round magazines with about 800 rounds of various new and old manufacturer's ammo like USA, Sterling, Federal and Republic 115 gr ammo.

I like the ROF. It's easy to pull singles and it clears the plate rack with ease. The ROF from my combo has averaged 650 RPM. I'm not sure why that's 100 RPM faster than the VERSA 12 in Richard's video. I will test the recommended ammo (115 gr Blazer Brass) next to see if its the same ROF as Richard's video.

I love this upper and think its better than any of the other Max uppers I've owned.

The upper, lower and Glock mags are so crazy light, that when I picked up my SMG travel bag to go to the range, I had to check to see if the gun was in it.

I really like the ergonomics. It also does not get as hot as fast as the Max-31A or Max-31K. I purchased enough parts to test various configurations.

I'm not a fan of the shape of the charging knob. My left index finger slipped off the flat charging knob twice and got bloody cheese grated on the optics rail, both times I shot. I would prefer a round and tapered charging knob like Gen 1 Max-31 uppers. I really like my Beretta 1301 Comp CH. It reminds me if the Gen 1 Max-31 CH.

No failures of any kind both days.

Funny story:
in January of 2021, I called Richard to tell him that I made a Glock mag well adapter for his Gen 1 Max-31A. The magwell could run both Glock and Suomi drums reliably. I told Richard that I did not want to finish making the magwell adapter clip if he was going to make a Glock mag lower, because his design would be better and I would just buy his. :) He said he would not make a Glock magwell because he was not a fan of the way they looked in the PCC market. Well he made one, it looks/feels/functions great and it's better than I imagined.

Good job! (y)

I'm looking forward to playing with the Suomi module and the Beta-C drum.

* The picture at the top is a modified MP5 tower with the front and back of a Suomi box mag attached to it. It makes it the right dimension for the Suomi module. I eventually want to make a G17 tower for the Beta-C drum.
