Sorry if this has been asked/answered already. But I am interested to know.
Will there be a versa upper in 45 for the M11/9 ?

The amount of space required for the wider .45 bolt face would eliminate the sear notch on the bottom of the bolt. There is a limit to what you can do with the dimensions you are constrained to. The upper width is limited by the lower receiver. The bolt width is limited by the upper width.

If I eliminate the overhanging bolt weight, the bolt mass is reduced and the bolt travel is shortened resulting in a very high rate of fire.

I gave this some more thought and I think I found a way to make it work.

If I pursue this design, it's going to be awhile. I have 3 other new upper designs ahead of it, plus variants for each platform. That's 9 uppers.. Keep in mind, which uppers we produce has alot to do with what we perceive the demand will be. We have had very few people request a VERSA-11/45.

No, we will not announce what uppers we are working on.

I’m starting to think that the reason the perceived demand was low is because it wasn’t thought to be possible
That could be but I don’t think that many folks want/can afford to shoot lots of.45ACP.

But M10s in .45 don't sell for much different prices than M11/9s. As usual Mr. Lage might flip that on it's head with whatever is cooking in his mind.
