I missed something somewhere. I thought the whole idea behind the MAX vs MAC's was to buy the heavy slower upper to shoot slow. So instead of putting your stock upper back on you put a MacJack in it to speed it back up again.

To each his own. A lot of good guns and shooters seems like the logical progression would be for somebody to issue a friendly challenge of skill versus digging a hole in the dirt.

That underfolder is awesome.
He comes and shoots in the matches. I thought that stock looked familar:stick

No, No, No, Jestertoo took off the max-11, put on a carbine upper he just bought from me, then borrowed a mac jack, FROM ME and then gave me a healthy dose of seller's remorse by doing quarter second mag dumps at 1800 rpm. In fact I'm retroactively declaring right of first refusal on said carbine upper dammit.....

Ok that explains the longer gun. It's in shadow so it looked like a MAX/11. Thanks for pointing that out.

Also, Lage makes various bolt weights for those who want different rates of fire. You can accomplish the same thing with a macjack if you wanted.

I have the slowest Max-11.. Love it.

The carbine with the macjack is a giggle toy.

I think it's sad that many people don't have a place where they can waste ammo shooting up old washing machines, blowing up shit with Tannerite, and just having a good time with friends. In fact, many people only have the use of an indoor range to shoot their subguns in.

If all you have is a hammer, you tend to solve all your problems with that single tool and see the world thru a rather skewed point of view rather than a logical one. The vast majority of NFA owners DON'T engage in organized matches of any sort, yet manage to have a great time owning and enjoying their guns by shooting tin cans at the dump, or dirt clods by the river. Personally, I engage in shooting matches and digging holes in the dirt, and I'd hate to pick one over another, although I'd probably fall into shooting matches. I love the comradery of both types of events, but I'm able to shoot a variety of unusual weapons and try different things at informal shoots. I don't let my view of NFA ownership be governed by a view that sees only one way to enjoy shooting my subguns. Not everyone has a high testosterone drive and type A personality that drives them to compete against others and themselves. They paid their money, and they can do as they please. It's all good... just like the guys in the video are having a great time just being together and blasting holes in the dirt. Good times ARE what it's all about, and as you said, to each his own.

As has been pointed out, at least one of those guys competes and perhaps all of them do. Organized matches represent the smallest use of recreational subgun shooting, so I find it interesting that you immediately rushed to judgement based on your notions of what these toys, (yes I said toys), should be used for.

You know I respect and value your opinion, but I wish you had more opportunities to just waste ammo with friends in an informal gathering. It's an aspect of NFA ownership that's shouldn't be underrated and one I enjoy between shooting our monthly matches.

Yes, it's way sweet!

What are you doing on the MAC forums anyway!? Are you a special, super secret moderator for macaholic posts? ;)

Had a chance to hold it. Very nice and form fitting but drawback is some slight cutting is required on inside of butt to fit around forward grip. This is a great option.

Liberty Hill Texas:eyespop The Liberty Hill west of Georgetown? I am in Austin and have a Max-11 with a DF upper and have been looking for a place in central Texas to shoot. Can you give me details on the range? I have been going to the PD range in New Braunfels and the Bullethole in San Antonio but that is pretty far. I would really like to get out with other NFA enthusiusts and shoot especially fellow Lage owners.

Well I very much like the looks of the AK underfolder and I would be interested in maybe getting one for my MAC-10/45 for when I get a MAX -10. So if you are making a list to see if there is interest, add me to it.

It weighs as much as a box of bricks. OTHER people certainly do speed them up.

if anyone is interested. I went through my stuff and I have enough to make 4 underfolding AK stock adapters for the m11/9.
