I was able to recover this video. I might've had too much fun with this one, oh well. Hopefully, somebody will enjoy it.

Great video, but I'm still waiting to see a 32rd dump. At the very least a full mag?

Update
I received the ammo I ordered today; Unfortunately, it’s raining and lightning.
I’ll do the second part of the test tomorrow.

How does all of this relate to the A bolt and the revised A bolt? Is it the same as either of them? If so, which one? And how many coils is the spring?

This is the current A Bolt CF-W 9MMA. Sold as a 9x19 bolt for the SWD M11/9 and SWD large grip M11A1 SMG. I have the prototype bolt marked EXP 9mm, but it's the same bolt as the current version.

For this video, we are testing the recoil spring cut to 63-64 coils for the .380 ammo.

A longer Orange spring is needed for 9mm ammo.

Thanks for posting...have an A bolt sitting in the safe...number came up on my Baby Ghost upper...2 minutes worth of .380 sitting in the closet...just waiting on the stamp.

Looks great in both configurations, but that OEM ROF is awesome.

Well, I'd say it works! I want to buy some recon ordinance mags and try those, but I have the gen 1 CFW-a bolt so who knows.

The A bolt is just not reliable in the large magwell SWD M11-A1 gun.

Recon Ord mags are surplus PAM2 mags that were originally used in the Argentine PAM2 subgun. This resembles a grease gun just smaller and chambered in 9mm. During the Assault Weapons Ban, these were imported as a preban solution for feeding M-11/9s. The other option was the Sten mag conversion which sprang up around this time. Anyway... I’ve not found one of these PAM2 mags that wasn’t converted by slotting the rear spine for the catch and having the feed lips cut back. There’s the real problem, the feed lips. I also own a few of these PAM2s with a mag catch cut on the side for the M-16/9mm.

The large magwell SWD M11-A1 use a 9mm magazine and those feed lips release the smaller .380 round before the bullet nose enters the chamber mouth. At 1,500 to 1700 RPM this doesn’t present a problem, but when you reduce the cyclic rate by half or more, feeding issues become very pronounced. I’ve tried OEM Zytels, Z mags, Converted PAM2s, converted Madsen mags, and Promag’s Zytel clone. None have provided reliable feeding. I’ve had a couple of successful full mag dumps, but those are few and far between. I do NOT recommend the A bolt for use with .380 ammo in large magwell SWD guns, but it absolutely shines with 9mm ammo in these and is sure to bring a big smile. This is about as close to owning a full auto 9mm pistol as most of us will ever come.

I went ahead and placed my order with Tina for a Baby Ghost upper and CF-W A-bolt for my small magwell 380. Time is always tight but should have it in a couple of weeks and get out to test.

You will love the CF-W A bolt. I’m going to buy one.
I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned but the CF-W A bolt makes the M11/380 into an extremely controllable package. I tested it out at 20 yards With a 32 round mag dump at a small steel silhouette target. The results were night and day.
With the factory bolt at 20 yards I hit it maybe 10-13 times. With the CF-W A bolt, I hit it damn near every time.
That was with the factory upper. I’ll post a vid, if I recorded it.

VegasSMG,

How many coils does the orange recoil spring have for the A Bolt in 9mm M11/9 and 9mm M11A1 have?

I honestly don't know the coil count for the M-11/9. It's an unclipped proprietary spring that isn't the same as an OEM M-11/9 spring. I stumbled across it by accident and it's been wonderful. After having 400 recoil springs custom wound that didn't work, I'm happier with these than you can imagine.

Sorry, I'm not in Las Vegas where I have all my notes and I don't remember the exact coil count on the A bolt 9mm spring. Fortunately I've got a few precut springs with me that I can count and let you known in a day or three.

I have a bunch of completed A bolts ready to ship along with a few spare parts here in Idaho.
KickStand, your PM box is full!

FWIW...
A big Friday night storm downed trees and knocked out electricity, phone and internet service. We had power restored after 12 hours but still no land line phone or internet. They’re saying it may be Friday before we have internet back up. Until then I’ve got to drive into town to get a cell signal. Sorry for the poor communication.
