Maybe customers should get a number that never changes and put a number counter on the products website links. :D I'm sure the Lageses are doing what's easiest for them.

I'm just thankful that a "First Contact" list was started and maintained. I'm looking forward to the new kind of upper.
The problem is that folks get on the list and then decide to not purchase or be moved down till the next batch. It would be hard at that point to really have anything sequential. I guess you could somehow list numbers in order, but that would be a pain to maintain, too.

Super jelly. Would have traded my restored and improved 53' CJ3B.

Is the heated relationship still going strong?

I can't believe members have these uppers and no one is posting. Crickets.

We have one customer from the first batch that already has 5,000 rounds through his VERSA-11. He wanted to make sure everyone knew how great the ergonomics are, how light it is, smoothness when firing and how controllable it is!

Got 12K factory S&B, Federal, Blazer and Magtech rounds. 20+ 33rd G17 mags, 2 cans of CLP, cleaning patches and a MagPump just waiting for the first weekend.
Not bragging, just super excited!

Just so we are clear, it's not going to make me a better shooter.

I’ve heard that the Magpul is difficult to load. One of the guys I shoot with has been using a KCI 50 rnd in his Versa with no problems and says it’s easy to load.

Can the VERSA-12 use the VBS?
Found it in the manual:

VERSA-12 Variable Buffer System (optional)

To adjust the rate of fire, the VERSA-12 is designed to use a varaible buffer system (VBS). The VBS consists of one short and one long buffer spacer that can be placed on the bolt assembly between the rear of the bolt and the rubber buffer.

With CCI Blazer Brass 115 gr. ammunition, the following approximate rates of fire can be achieved with multiple buffer spacers:

Standard Bolt - 610 RPM
+1 Short VBS- 738 RPM
+1 Long VBS - 815 RPM
+1 Short & 1Long VBS- 952 RPM

Different bullet weights, such as 124 gr. And 147 gr. , as well as lighter or stronger powered ammunition, will result in slower or faster rates of fire. The rates of fire above are approximate. The rate of fire of your ammunition may vary.

Does the versa 11 come with just 1 buffer and you buy the other 1-2 separately?

There is a rubber buffer already installed in the bolt assembly, you add 1 or 2 of the hard plastic VERSA Variable Buffer System buffers to change the rate of fire.

Richard I think the question was does one need to purchase the variable bolt system separately? Or does it come with the upper?

Richard, I would like to buy the VBS system for the VERSA-12.

I'm confused about the VERSA-12 manual referring to the VBS system as requiring the "1 Short" or "1 Long" or "1 Short & 1 Long" buffer spacers to change the ROF.

The VBS System link says there are #1, #2, and #3 blocks but there is no mention of the sizes of each block.

The VERSA-11 takes 1 to 3 of a same length block. The VERSA-12 takes 1 of the VERSA-11 blocks (long) and 1 shorter block that is specific to the VERSA-12. Ya, I know it’s confusing.
