The Variable Buffer System for the VERSA-11 is totally different than the VBS for our other M-11/9 uppers.

The bolt stroke is much longer on the VERSA-11 and the ejector rod is in a slightly different position. I had to move the location of the ejector rod on the VERSA-11 to accommodate the double feed bolt.

Regarding the G17 mag modules....are there any issues caused by changes by Glock to the mag catch slot? If I recall Gen 4 or maybe 5 went ambi, with the slot on both sides.

The bottom line question: does the mag module work with all generations of Glock mags?

G4 went ambi. Mags.

You can use ambi mags in a gen3 Glock like magpuls.

Apologies if it’s been covered, but does the Scorpion magwell take Gen 1 scorpion mags or the 3plus mags?

I’m not a scorpion guy, but hate Glock mags so I ordered a Scorpion magwell. Doing research to buy mags, it seems that there are 2 different versions and it’s usually noted whether they will work with 3+.

The Gen 1 which seem to be more prevalent.
Evo 3+ which has different ergos to more approximate ARs.

The 3+ mags will work in the 3+ and Gen 1, but Gen1 won’t work in 3+. I think the 3+ has 2 different slots to be compatible with both, the gen1 has one slot, not compatible with the 3+.

I could also be completely wrong, but that’s what I think is going on.

Has the Magpul 35rd magazine version for the scorpion been tested for function as well? Recently joined the waitlist also for the Scorpion module and would like to start purchasing magazines.

Yes, it has been tested and works fine. Surprisingly, it sits slightly higher than the other manufacturers magazines, but the mag’ module works with all of them.
