Was offered an Uzi- good deal or no?

Got a guy local to me says he has a transferrable Uzi he wants to get rid of. It is an Israeli-made registered bolt with a suppressor both on form 4s. Comes with 30 mags and 2000 rounds. I believe it is 9mm but he did not specify.
Asking $10k.

I'm getting this info relayed to me secondhand so I'm afraid I don't have any more specifics than this. I really don't know much of anything about Uzis (I'm an M11 guy) so I don't know if this is a good deal or not. I'm not even sure what price Uzis are commanding these days.

Don't know, there are lots of variables. you need to look at it, handle it, ask if you can shoot it with your own ammo, try out the suppressor, look over the mags see what kind of condition they are in. Then do some research online. Check the auction boards, sites where they are advertised, ect. Don't be afraid to make a counter offer.

Reg Bolt = no 22 kit. ...if that matters.

RR = more value IMOP

If you can run a conversion kit your gun will bring more money. Look inside the receiver near the right rear for a piece of metal that extends about an inch long and maybe 1/4 inch wide. Also, notice if the bolt in the gun is slotted right at this area to allow it to cycle freely. If the blocking bar is removed the gun will bring more money. You can almost ignore whether the gun has a registered receiver. A RR Uzi with blocking bar is a glorified bolt gun.
I have an inbound Uzi. It is a RR gun but has blocking bar. There is no difference if the receiver is registered or bolt is registered-either way no conversion kits will work in the gun. The one I have inbound is the least desirable. I had one offered to me today and good old rubyann supposedly offered almost 9K not bothering to find out WHAT they are buying! I suspect maybe after 3000 years in the NFA business they may not know it all
So....you want to buy a full auto uzi?
Do you care if you can run conversion kits? If no, buy a registered bolt.
If you insist on running a conversion kit your options are Vector Guns, Group guns, original true IMI guns imported and registered before 68, and semis that were converted to full auto AND had blocking bars removed.
Wanna get by cheap and don't care about converions? Buy a registered bolt or glorified RR gun with blocking bar intact.
Want one of the more desirable guns that will run conversions? Buy group or vector.
You WILL pay a few thousand more for the more desirable gun BUT--it will bring more at resale.

Bolt gun with can for 10K? Not a good deal unless you can find several closed recent sales in the price range. Sounds overpriced to me. However, the market has been VERY strong so it will take some research on your part to determine if it is a good value. It should be the least expensive one on the block. Knock out accessories and cans to start with a base line of value.

There's a registered .45 Uzi bolt/barrel/mags for sale on Subguns for $6250. That should give you some idea of the price difference between RR and R-bolt.

I would imagine a 9mm bolt would be much more desirable.

I have a .45 conversion with a GG lower for my Uzi and it's a whole lot of fun to shoot. It's wicked with a big buffer. If .45 was the same price as 9mm I would shoot it a whole lot more. It's a really nice conversion, no tools required to swap calibers and very reliable.

Thanks guys. That's pretty much what I was looking for. Looks like I'm gonna pass on this one as it does sound overpriced to me, and I really don't have an overwhelming desire to own an Uzi anyway. I appreciate everyone's input.
