I’m assuming it is one like this but not as nice. One sold on GB for $2200 I think not too long ago. They are not at all practical. Very much a gimmick.

For those that may be new to the whole MAC scene, the "operational briefcase" has been around since the 1970s. They are hardly a "gimmick" or a novelty. They are some of the most desirable and collectible pieces, when original. They were originally and primarily designed to be used with a suppressed M11/.380, but some models were made for the M10 and a unique shortened suppressor. That rarer version appears to be the one referenced by Slomo and for sale with an M10/9 at Practical. It was manufactured by RPB in the late 70s and redone in the early 80s. The one in the Novaguner posted video appears to be one of those styles also, but the more common M11 version.
The one I posted about is nothing like anything I've ever seen, hence the "Bubba" comment from long time and knowledgeable poster Gaujo.
I'd def be interested in seeing the listing where one sold on GB recently? I must have missed it.
As an aside, I own one of the first original cases, made at the Werbell compound in PS early on.

DAMN!!!!
I was going to post a link to Concorde for any newbies to see the master builder of Op Cases in action.
I am stunned and saddened to hear that he has passed! I was away from this site a bit last spring and completely missed the news. I had him build one of his custom cases for me so I wouldn't have to use my rare one at the range. It's always a huge hit at the range and a must shoot for all!
What a great guy and what a loss to the MAC and greater NFA community.
RIP Mike, you're going to be missed!

That's absolutely a bubba special and a poor one at that.

I made an operational briefcase for a full size uzi. It looks a hell of a lot betther than that case. I think my final cost was less than $20. I guess it's time to throw it up on Gunbroker.

Jack, here is the one that just sold.
That's a modern iteration, similar to Concorde models, but I don't think he made that one. Sadly, there's no way to ask him now. It does look very well made. I def wouldn't call this one a Bubba Special. Thanks for sharing. I know the seller. I may reach out to him and inquire.

Briefcases are soo cool, but it would be almost as suspicious at this point to show up with a briefcase as with an Uzi in this day and age. I think I need to work on a full auto rolling carry on!

That is a homeworkshop job. I did one recently as well. Gun is photoshopped into the case to avoid any NFA violations. I am about to start another one, with some improvements, for the M11/9, as nobody has ever manufactured a “factory” briefcase for the 11/9. RPB sold the originals for the M10 and M11 .380, they also offered it for the UZI as well. The m11/9 was introduced post RPB and SWD never made any cases as far as I know.
