Where are all of the Mini Uzi's?

I've been looking for a Mini Uzi for a while now. I gave up on the transferable Mini and bought a full size transferable instead, but I'd still like to find a Mini in semi to make into an SBR.

Did Vector quit making them?

I pretty much gave up on both of those dealers. Kelly Enterprises told me that there would be a 5 week wait after I bought the gun before they could ship. I'll give Kelly a call today to see if that is still the case. Atlantic has not had any in stock since I began looking. I've added my name to the "Notify When in Stock" list, but have never gotten a single email.

Go with Kelly Enterprises. It will be worth it.

Change of plans. I'm thinking of having Vector cut down my semi FS into a Mini.

If you don't mind my asking, what were you quoted for a conversion like that to your weapon?

It was expensive, but since I already have the SBR, I think it would be worth it versus buying a Mini and waiting for it's SBR paperwork to clear. They gave a 2-week turn around time frame and quoted $1200.

Hell, I can only go by what they tell me. Is there anyone else cutting down FS Uzi's into Mini's?

Yeah, but for $2500, I could get a nice IMI Mini that wouldn't need a conversion.

this is very true.
if you go the vector route, keep us posted with pics and elapsed times, maybe they can pull a miracle out of their ass.... tell them "the internet is watching" so they need to do a good job! :D

If I decide to go with Vector, I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.

Why not build one? It's straight forward, not exactly easy but simple enough if you have an experienced builder helping you out. I built one, used a vz58 sidefolder stock, used a wood block and torch to heat up the arm of the stock and bend it to shape. wood block was milled to the outline of a mini stock arm, then heat the arm and place in the block to hold the shape. The only other thing needed to complete the look of a mini is the frontsite sling bolt. I'm still looking for a suitable bolt that I can use.

Did not know Vector still offered that service. Do they still offer it for their full size full auto Vectors Uzis?

I have no idea, but the ATF NFA agent that I spoke with yesterday told me that I'd have to send a request into the Technical Branch to change a MG. As fas as SBRs go, she said I was good to go.

I don't want to build one personally as I don't want to destroy my SBR.

If you decide to go with Kelly enterprises, get the Duracoat option. I am glad I did.
