Reading through Uzi forums, I've seen :eyespopquite a few references to video tutorials for building Uzi's from parts and parts kits.

When searching video hosting sites, none of these well-made, detail-rich videos seem to be available? :cry

I've tried looking in different gun-friendly video hosting sites to little avail, and have studied what information I could find, but whatever happened to Theredneckengineer's build tutorial videos? :dunno

Links to current location of Uzi build videos would be most helpful, thank you very much! :thumbs_up

Corporations protect you from yourself and make communities safer

Ah yes, I have been through the library and read just about everything there, and I will continue to make reference to this valuable information.

There's no doubt that enough information exists in the library to build Uzi's from a parts kit, how some ever at this juncture, I'm wanting to immerse myself in all the available information that I can find, and for some it's easier to comprehend and learn through videos in combination with written material, so would prefer as well, to study videos which're mentioned in Uzi forums as being quite helpful.

We have the First Amendment in this country, but it seems some corporations have taken it upon themselves and seen fit to censor videos which they host, :boohoo having to do with tutorials on firearms construction.

If some muckety-muck biggity bug :rolleyes decides that I shouldn't see an Uzi build tutorial video, :bull then I definitely want to study the censored video, so I can determine whether I agree with their decision :thinking and discover what I might possibly be missing out on otherwise. :nana

"Caveat emptor" It's a well-proven concept that one cannot expect truth, when there is an opposing interest to protect. After all, how do I know "powers-that-be" censors have my best interests at concern? :2cents

Mark Serbu did a nice reweld video.....it's on youtube

Now that is what I'm talking about! That is a good tutorial video. It complements and enhances understanding written materials in the library.

A list of tutorial videos (with links) would go a long ways to aid understanding, especially helpful in best illustrating what pitfalls to avoid, and the best ways to get from operation A to B. "You don't need a 14,000 lb CNC Machining Center... you can use a grinder, belt sander, file, whatever you've got..." way to go Mark Serbu :clap

There was a lot more video tutorial information out there which was mentioned on various build forums and something is happening to make that information difficult to find. :peep

Perhaps it would be helpful if someone made a video series working from scrap metal to finished, complete IMI specification Uzi, AND put series on some gun-friendly video platform, where they would be available for perusal and not subjected to censorship? :nocomment If something can be built from scrap metal, then kits and spare parts would be available and less subject to rising costs. :allright

Save every gun build video that you think will help you in the future, before they disappear.

When Uzi build tutorials are insufficient or difficult to locate?

A lot of kind folks have gone out of their way to provide build information and share their knowledge.:allright

This is all to the good and build forums are most helpful in this way, yet I'm finding some tutorials somewhat spotty in details, unimpressive in information presentation, even sometimes lacking pertinent details (which has to be located), also some tutorial videos have been taken down and details they contain can sometimes be quite difficult to locate, so I can see some room for improvement here.:goofygrin

What is truly needed imho is a step-by-step, easily understood, detail comprehensive, no-fail-oriented set of tutorial build instructions that anyone with half a brain can successfully follow, having accompanying tutorial video demonstrations.

Doesn't have to be anything fancy/special or costly to produce, it just has to do the job (like an Uzi lol) and get the information across in a concise/forthright manner: "Yes, you can do this at home" (if you're not an idiot) :tinfoil

It looks like it's going to be up to me, when I begin my Uzi parts kit SA build, to come up with what I think is needed, find some gun-friendly, non-censoring video hosting site, publish written tutorial directions in build forums, with links to tutorial video demonstrations. This will help :cool

That does seem like something I've got the capability of doing, that would give something back to the forums and builder community, but since I've got champagne appetite on a beer budget with an Uzi build, it's a matter of time, probably months before I can get anything posted.

In the meanwhile, I'll study every bit of information that comes my way, so that when I do make a build tutorial, I can give a broad view with alternative ways others have done things. It's always good to have a choice and there's more than one way to skin a cat as the saying goes.:beer

In this day and age of liberal logic, I've got to wonder if knowledge is even legal anymore? Didn't folks publishing DIY gun 3D print information get into trouble, because citizens from countries where build information is restricted had access to this information? With all confusion and liability potential concerns going around, no wonder tutorial videos were being pulled? :paranoid

Liberal logic:Law Abiding Criminals! :nono
