Hey guys I didn't want to takeover the Coffin mag spring thread, does anyone know where I can purchase multiple 50 round Coffin magazines?

I previously purchased from Folke but Folke is now OUT OF STOCK.

Only other listing I can find is on Gunbroker and you have to send international MO/Western Union.

Is there any other options in the U.S.?

Feel free to message me if anybody is getting rid of any.

Folke is really out of stock ????????
Is this some kind of bad joke? I figured he's sitting on a warehouse full of them. Been selling them for MANY years.

I bet he gets more. Soon. Somehow.

on the BRP facebook page someone was buying them.....might be Robert above....

i got Folkes last batch i think a month ago....$450 shipped with pouch, loader and cleaning kit.....ive gotten (3) sets from Folke and this was the nicest!...i always thought the pouch leather was supposed to be brown...this one was mint and blonde....i figured the pouches were soaked in oil and that made the brown...he was supposed to be out of cleaning kits long ago...kinda cool to have a complete kit

if he is out expect to see prices rise

Those are NOT coffin mags and will not function in single feed Lage uppers. Those are 36 round double feed stick mags.

I bought my first set from Folke about ten+ years ago before Lage offered the ‘31 uppers. Price was four mags @ $135.00 delivered with pouch and loader included. Yes, light use yields a “blond” color leather AND there are two different and distinct types of pouches. They’ve gotten too expensive to use for fear of bending the body or feed lips.

Besides the mad genius cool factor what is so great about these mags when you can get a 30 round Zmag for the Max 31 that's easier to load for 1/3 or 1/4 of the price? I stopped using mine as soon as I got the special Zmags. If I really need more ammo I use the drums. Seems like an expensive and troublesome niche sandwiched between two cheap and easy solutions.

Bingo. When I saw the spring thread for the coffin mags I realized this and sold all of mine.

Your right. However the zmag s is only good for the max31. I have 3 other guns that take Suomi style mags that the z mags will not work in. It would have been a homerun had those z mags worked, but alas that was not Marty’s intention with the z mag. I tried.

In the meantime I think the coffin mag problem has been solved in part by the spring order.

Hell, I wish the max31 would take the 36round stick mags. Do away with a whole magazine redesign altogether.

I just bought some off Gunbroker. They arrived in excellent shape with loader and pouch. $400 shipped. PM me if you want the guy's email. I believe he has more.

You didn't buy a machine gun for practical purposes, so don't start applying logic now. Quad stack magazines from the 1940s are amazing and getting new springs is worthwhile. I'm not advocating using a pile of them in matches, but they are not obsolete by any means.

they really do look cool in any of my guns that uses them ......plus+20 rounds....on the small subgun matches we have every winter 50 rounds takes you through each side..30 rounds wont unless you have a gun with a very slow ROF(which makes me yawn).......

ive got 4 uppers/guns that use the coffins....i love them...loading them sucks

That depends on the gun. I can get singles with my Fleming sear in a MP5K clone. I don't do so well at doubles with a cyclic rate around 900 RPM in the "K". Even with the selector in the "AUTO" position, if you pull the trigger back only as far as the semi position, the gun will only fire one round. I personally don't find a MP5K a "yawn" sort of subgun. YMMV.

Irrefutable points brother! I don't use the coffins that much but they are very cool.

I've got a friend that's got a set of the four coffins and the leather pouch. I've got coffins and extra springs already but I said I'd help him sell them. Anybody bought these recently and know the going price? I didn't find any on GB to check, though I did find someone asking $90 for just the pouch.

He's also got 3 drums to get rid of.

I've sold some earlier this year for $550 for a set. Pouch style was different than your picture and I had a loading tool with the set too. I've got a couple more sets to sell I just need time to get some good pictures.
