Hi all...Since I'm new to shooting the Uzi which Uzi model is you personal favorite to shoot...fullsize, mini, pistol:heavy

I woud think FA would take the cake, but any preference to model type and why.

Thanks

I'm preferential to the full size UZI mostly due to its slower rate of fire and heavier weight. The two combied make for the more easily controlled weapon for me. Unlike many, I strive to keep the ROF as low as I can without losing functionality or reliability. This allows me to make singles and doubles while in FA mode. This also allows my mags to last a hair longer and therefore requires a few less mag changes during competition. I'm able to attain a ROF that is slow enough to do this without being too slow. Getting a ROF this slow isn't possible with the Mini or the Micro. I prefer around 650RPM. I also prefer the longer length of both the stock and the gun overall. The Mini therefore would be my second choice. Where the mini gives up in those areas, it gains in the ease of concealability. Karl.

Karl's perspective on a slower rate of fire is is very good if you're looking for a gun to compete with. I don't compete with my Uzi and I like something that gives me a unique shooting experience. That's why I like my Mini. I love the size of the gun and the high rate of fire is a lot of fun. I've never shot a Micro so I can't give you an opinion on it but I sure love my Mini.

Pistol gets my vote. I regularly carry it concealed in a vertical shoulder rig and it feels so natural after 12 years sometimes I forget it is there. It's weight dampens felt recoil especially in .45 acp and 9mm recoil is mild.

Second, would be full size, but in my state it is SA (semi-auto) all the way.:pistol :uzi

Having owned a "A" model in the past and now a Mini, I totally sold on the Mini. My goal is to get a full size again and a pistol when I can save enough pennies!!!!!!!!!

I like the slower rate of fire of the full size. I've only shot a full auto mini once, but didn't care for the high cyclic rate. I wouldn't get one for that reason, but the mini sure looks cool! No experience with the pistol.

JIMBO I would love to see a pic of your CCW rig. How much are the Uzi pistols going for these days?

Oh, and my vote goes for the FA fullsize, I like the rate of fire a little faster than stock it seems to smooth the gun down on target at a bit higher rate of fire. I have a home brew buffer system that is around .75" thick I would guess it's running around 800rpm plus it absorbs alot of the slam at the end of the bolt.
