Lage makes it for .380 (thank you), why not 9mm?

I've heard the reach around the drum excuse, but again, .380 has it.

Will there ever be one made? Suomi drum purchases made hoping so.

The 31a is too big, waiting... waiting... for the k.

If you won't ever make one say so.

Just last night I was measuring the dimensions to make a spacer block to use my Max-31K on my M11/9. I see no reason why this wouldn't work, nor do I see a reason why Richard can't make an aesthetically correct one and sell it to me (hint hint).

I'm working on one- I have 2 projects in flight but when those are done I'll get out the hacksaw and have the barrel in mine cut down and re-threaded.

Personally, I think a shortened MAX-31 on an M-11/9 looks unbalanced. Too much on the ass end. Doing it for the M-11A1 made sense to me, since the back end is shorter. Makes a short, balanced gun.

Yes, if there is enough demand, we will make it. That being said, we have received two requests over the past year.

I see your reasoning.
I like the compact nature of the Mac series, so drum firepower in a smaller package would make me jump at the chance to purchase.

Consider this the 3rd request of the year? Ha.

I was on the list for one but was told you weren't making them, so I'd go back on the list again and buy one.

I would buy a K version, and I've held off on buying the standard version because of the length.

Well I did it- not all cuts are equal, and my shop guy came through. He complimented the Lage parts- cut almost looks polished. One custom front end (front plate welded to rails that mount to the remaining aft rail screw holes) and a new barrel, then the Bowers will go on here...

Sweet! That's going to look a lot like the prototype MAX-11k with the partial slot underneath :)

You've got balls. I'd like to see the final result. Good job.

Hope Richard sees the lengths people will go. There's a market for the K.

Ha! I appreciate the encouragement. I'll post some updates and a video once the new barrel and front end are on there (end state it'll have the Bowers & a red dot) but I tried it with a converted Sten mag (thank you Medphys) for giggles, and it was a hoot! Shot from ~40 yards and it was almost hard to miss the steel.

Ran my chopped Max-31 "Special K" with a new I.L.W.T. 380 barrel with dual threads. Good experience there, fast shipping- my only hang up was the automated shopping cart.. it emailed me to remind me I left items in it overnight.. which I don't care for- some companies do this and others do not. I understand this from the business owner perspective, but I know what I did dammit!

I think the challenge will be finding the right magazine set up. I tried one of Medphys's converted sten mags and got off a few bursts, but had FTFs. The Max-31 has it's own feed ramp, so I could alter it. I think drums may run better but have not tried yet.. the bursts I got off did feel good and were quieter, and I'm sure it'll run quiet on 380 with the Bowers on it.

What do you all think? I'm leaning toward the feed ramp but I'm open to ideas.

The MAX-31 bolt may be too heavy or the spring too strong. If it's short stroking, you won't have the momentum in the bolt to forcefully push the round over the feed ramp and/or fire the round.

The problem with the STEn mags is that the 380 round is so short. Opening the feed lips may get the presentation angle better, but the rounds could also come flying up out of the mag too.
