Would you trade a new in box Colt AR15A3 R6721 carbine for a mint condition IMI Uzi Model B in the original cardboard box with manual, sling, 3 mags? Manual, gun, barrel all have the same serial #

already have a Vector UZI, and have 6 AR's including 3 M4's

thanks in advance

I'd go for the Uzi in a heartbeat. You can find ARs anywhere (even though at the present time they are a bit scarce, it should only be a temporary situation). The IMI Uzis are the best built, most desirable, limited in numbers, and will only appreciate over time (and are a lot more reliable & fun to shoot)....

Whenever I go to the range & whip out an AR or an AK,, nobody even looks twice. When I pull my Uzi out of my briefcase & unfold it - people are drawn to it immediately. Of all my firearms (I've been collecting for over 45 years), the Uzis are among my favorites.... I guess I'm a bit prejudiced :)

Did you get a cardboard box with your Model B?? I thought only the Model A's came in the blue with gold lettering IMI cardboard boxes.... I thought all of the IMI Model B's came in a plastic case.

The early model B's came in the blue cardboard box.

I would make that trade and not look back. But I have way more fun with my UZI than my AR and I am more emotionally attached to the heritage of the UZI by IMI over the AR's by Colt. As for all around value, probably pretty even.

THe Uzi will never have the resale of the colt..... Colt's with the current market are selling for 2-3500...... If you already have an uzi and a ar id keep both. Variety is where its at.

yes, I would. you can get an AR anywhere. everyone makes an AR. Uzi's are limited to only the certain IMI made ones in the country. it's rare. my thinking was the same. I can replace an AR anytime. i sold an AR-10 and got the Uzi and bought a Rem 700 SPS so I could still have a .308 around the house.

It depends on your current situation, I would do it, but I dont have an IMI UZI and would love one. I am in MT and AR's are a dime a dozen,( I can even get a Colt AR 15 at Walmart here), but I cannot find an UZI around anywhere, and have to buy on line. That is just me though.

No.

I think FA Uzis are good machine guns but don't shine as semi autos. Same goes for macs. Just my opinion.
