Are you referring to the QD barrel uppers, or the modular lower?

I saw/played with one of the frist generation QD uppers a few years ago. My impressions were that it allows for a fast barrel cahnge, but the gas tube is very vulnerable- probably faster to just swap to a new upper. The only other complaint was that I have a tendency to grab right at teh magwell, and the QD barrel levers were rgith in that position- they wouldn't unlock or anything, but they have all sorts of ridges and nubs that kind of got in the way of my offhand.

I have the newer 2nd generation MGI quick change barrel upper and I like it a lot. Even when swapping out different calibers the POI doesn't change much. I think it's really cool that i can fit a 16" barreled rifle into a suitcase also when it's broken down. Also you can change the levers to be on the top, i did this since i run a surefire vertical foregrip which takes up the entire bottom rail.

Caution... Will Robinson

Great product but service down right sucks. Do a search to see all the bad vibes. My "in stock ready to ship" order turned into a nightmare! 6+ months later and at least 30+ calls I finally got a refund.

I don’t have one personally, but a friend has one and he likes it quite a bit. He bought the 556, 7.62x39 and I think the 45 ACP set ups for it. He actually commented on how good the customer service was on all of his orders. I thought it looked well put together and high quality. I was thinking about getting one soon. If you had a RDIAS it would be a must.
