I sent a Cahiers Check. I'll check w/ the Bank and see when it was cashed.

Who's got Law Enforcement contacts in the area??

Once we know who all the Payees are, perhaps some of this discussion could go to Supporters forum, so we can strategize in private.

Oops. you're right. sorry about that.

I just wanted to see if we were all dealing with the same guy, or he set up a bunch of fake names, addresses and phone numbers..

I'll pm to Arch Stanton, and suggest others do likewise.

Dead Beat Bill

So, Arch, have you got a total of how many of us sent this clown our hard earned money?

It would seem that Bill has stolen enough to make this a felony. Oops no more guns.

We have a phone number that very well could lead to this guy.
We have a P.O. Box which would definitely lead to him.
It would seem that it wouldn't even take the NSA to track him online with that information. Just a little bit of regular police work with the phone Co. and the P.O. There is a somewhat likely possibility that he may be in the Navy or work for the Navy considering where he lives and the fact he mentioned that on the Sniper board he recently joined.
I'm about 2.5 hours from this con-man but I don't have any contacts with Norfolk PD and that would help.

Just thought I'd throw these thoughts out there to the group while I continue to ponder getting him nailed. I'm thinking maybe the postmaster of where the P.O. box is.

Well it looks like we can account for eight total at this point. As a collective this will be worth pursuing. Here is the deal you cant get any info from the post office if he is picking up the mail or not and you have to wait for 60
days from the money order issue date to see if it has cashed so we are a bit screwed for now.

It may be a bit early...

to pursue through the postmaster there as we're just now approaching three weeks. However if he is using a P.O. box as a tool for fraud / stealing, I would like to believe that the P.O. would take action. They have their own Inspectors and being Feds they have more resources available for investigating. If this avenue is pursued I would think that a number of us would need to step forward to make the case.

No, the guy is not dead, as he stopped replying to messages while he was still logging on as can be seen in his profile. His story was that he was snowed in and could not get online, though his profile showed activity. He's still here looking at the thread, all he did was to logout back on the 12th so ppl would think that he is no longer around.

Smartest thing for all was the sending of PO money orders.

Secret Service Bag $125.00
US Postal Money Order $1.10
First Class Postage $0.44

Federal Charge of Mail Fraud after cashing the Postal Money Orders
$ Priceless $

Follow the link above at the post office website and lets see what happens. Not much else to do. It wouldof been nice to have a physical address. Does anybody know someone that can figure out who owns the phone # he listed?

At the center of the Uzi triangle
I just filled out the complaint form from the above link.
Anyone who sent a PO money to this person should also do it.
This is what is stated on their form:

"U.S. Postal Inspectors base their investigations on the number, substance, and pattern of complaints received from the public. We ask you to keep all original documents related to your complaint. We will contact you ONLY if more information is needed."

If they base their investigation on the number or pattern of complaints, the more people that file a complaint against him, the better.

This is the message:

Sir,

I appologize for not getting back to you sooner.

I am going to post a update on the listing.

I was snowed in at my folks home in Maryland with over 30 inches of snow and no power or internet.

I have just gotten back home and am waiting on the two remaining boxes of Uzi bags from the gentleman in Philadelphia I ordered them from. He is also snowed in and advised that he shipped the boxes by US Priority Mail on Friday AM, so I should get them by Tuesday/Wednesday.

I will offer anyone who wants a full refund their money back, since this has taken too long, which is my fault.

Again,

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you and the seven other gentlemen who ordered the bags and slings.

Anyone gotten any notice after that date?
