Unfortunately it's pretty much a gimme that we've gotten screwed.
I've never had this happen before (except by former member Tomsdeals) and it really pisses me off.
The fact that I sent this scumbag payment in good faith and he takes the money and bails.
When I first saw his add, I had posted that I was going to message him but I sent him an email through this site first. I told him in that email that I'd like to know if he had any feedback on other sites that he could provide me since he was so new. But then when people started posting they wanted one of the bags, I didn't want to lose out because of waiting for a response to my email. I just confirmed with him that I wanted one so I didn't lose out on the opportunity.
This is where you are forced to take a gamble. If you don't act and jump on the bandwagon, you may lose out.
Some people say that the first "I'll take it" should trump all. In a way, I don't feel that is always right.
If an established member is selling something, I agree.... but if it's someone new and has not proven themselves to be trustworthy, I'd like my "I'll take it" to be pending on them giving me some kind of reference.
Buying and selling on the internet isn't always fair. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. I just hate losing.
I don't have a whole lot of money to begin with so when someone takes $125 from me and I get nothing in return, it really pisses me off.
Anyway, I'll stop with that. Sorry about the rant.
So what can we do next?
I've filled out the Post Office info. Are we now done?
Do we just have to sit and wait to see if the Post Office goes after him?
Or do we just chalk it up to that we all got screwed by this piece of crap?

Your rant is EXACTLY how I feel! I did'nt have $125 to just throw away (apparently I did) and have nothing to show for it. Hopefully the USPS inspectors will go after him AND PROSECUTE!

Guys, I think you're jumping to conclusions that everyone selling these bags is the same person. The guy who posted on Silencer Talk back is 2007 is the same guy that posted here as "NCISgunner". I dealt with that person a few years ago and it's not the same person that started this new thread.

I will be going to my local post office to see if the
money order has been cashed. Might not hurt for several of us to call the police in Norfolk, VA and report what this person is doing. Report his alias, etc.

It would also be reasonable to call the Postmaster where his P.O. box is located in Norfolk. That combined with writing to the Postmaster as well. The Govt acts on paper more than talk but doing both would be the thing to do.

If this board requires ACTUAL PICTURES of the item for sale some fraud may be avoided. I will not buy anything that I have not seen either in person or in a photo. This cheat posted links to the pictures in our own Uzi library.

Join Date, Post Count, iTrader Rating all can be used to judge if someone is on the level. This knucklehead "tried" to look like a quality guy buy participating in some simple threads. I think he had something like 9 posts before he sprang this thread on us. Personally, I don't believe someone should be able to sell until post count is a bit higher AND cleared by mod's to post in "For Sale" sections.

I went to the Post Office today to inquire about the MO I sent this douchbag. The teller made a phone call and said that they had no record of it so she said that ahould mean that it had not yet been cashed. Now that 60 days has passed I filled out a form of inquiry on it and I will get either a refund check in the mail or a letter stating when and where it was cashed.
The form and inquiry cost me $5.40, but if I can get the rest of it back I'll be somewhat more happy. For those that did pay via USPS MO, go to the PO and do the same.
I'll let everyone know what happens.

Has anybody else checked to see if their money orders were cashed? Maybe this guy died or some other catastrophic thing happened after the deal started. Maybe he never cashed the MOs and you guys will be able to get your $$ back from the PO.
From the early e-mails, it didn't sound like this guy was a complete con man. Otherwise, he could have asked for money from at least several other guys. Maybe he was in a car accident, had a heart attack, etc. If something like that happened, I don't know that his survivors would know anything about his internet dealings. Maybe one of you guys involved in this deal should try writing a registered letter to his address (or PO box) rather than sending e-mails or PMs. Somebody might be checking his mail but not checking his e-mails. (On the other hand, the guy could be a complete POS con artist....I'm just trying to think of a better alternative scenario.)

Yes, now that 60 days have passed, anyone who paid with a PO money order can fill out the Form 6401. I have included scaned imanges below so I believe you can print them for yourselves.
You can also view or print them off the internet here.
We'll be able to find out for sure if he cashed them. If he has not, we can stop the payment and get a refund.

see post 30. the guy logged onto the site well after folks started asking questions and offered no explanation/clarification... no excuse; he's a dirtbag. dirtbags feed off sympathy, fill out that PS form 6401.

I assume you can go to the abank and ask them if it has been cashed. If you have the reciept and it has not been cashed I think you can put a stop payment on it.

Not sure how many of us are even pursuing this, but I got my response back from the Post Office yesterday.
It has a photo copy of both front and back of my original PO money order to this guy.
It was cashed on Feb 08 2010 and has a stamp from the bank in which it was cashed.
It is stamped:

On the back, it was not signed, but simply has the hand writing of:

What you do is open a police report in the town or municipality where this person calls home. They will probably ask for copies of all evidence (cashed postal money order(s) and a copy of this thread). Your name, address and screen name on this board will be helpful as well. Good luck all!
