We got our judgement against this seller. And I imagine we have all sent out letters to request our refund within 7 days in accordance with the judgement. So, has anyone seen a refund or even a reply from our "seller?"

I think this would be a good case to see how postal money orders and such work and record if something goes wrong.

I never received my money back, and to my knowledge neither did anyone else. The Postal Inspector and the courts did what they were supposed to do, but they could not/would not force him to pay the judgements. Postal MO "guarantee" is no guarantee at all, but I think they are still the safest form of MO to use.

It seems tha PayPal is a much safer route. I haven't had to do this, but I've read that the take fraud very seriously and will err on the side of the buyer. There has even been scams where people "buy" products and scam the seller. They get the product, then file a complaint with PayPal. The "buyer" keeps the product and gets their money back.

Anyway, I'm truly sorry for the folks that got scammed. It's a real gut punch to get ripped off by someone you think is a good, honest, fellow gun owner.
