I sent the guy an informed, polite message. Probably would not hurt for a few others to do the same as this guy does'nt know the law.In times like these we don't need any more heat/spotlight on our hobby.

I sent him an e-mail yesterday morning. He doesn't believe, or doesn't care.

Better just to give the info to Gunbroker - none are as blind as those who refuse to see.

Actually SMG-45's line really applies better for this seller.

i sent him a polite message. I'd hate to see an unsuspecting guy (buyer or seller) get burned by an unreg. slotted bolt.

I sold a FA bolt here on UziTalk a while back. I was really surprised about the number who PM'd asking me if the bolt was slotted. Like they wanted to buy a slotted bolt and weren't interested when I told them it wasn't slotted.

I wonder how that works if someone is just unaware of what they are selling?

Please do not bid on this auction. I have found that the bolt has a fatal flaw. Please accept my apology.

It works by getting you 2 years in prison. It does not matter whether you know that you are in possession of or are attmepting to transfer contraband. It only matters that you intended to be in possession of the item, that you attempted to transfer the item, and that the item is actually contraband.

There are a lot of morons out there. They are willfully ignorant and just really, really don't want to deal with the legal realities. They are very, very sure that they have the ANSWER-and they don't. Or...it could be some guvmint drone fishing for an easy bust.

The seller added a note that reads, "[Information added 2/6/2013 5:45:51 PM]
Please do not bid on this auction. I have found that the bolt has a fatal flaw. Please accept my apology."

Fatal flaw sounds about right.

looks to me hes going to sell it, all he has to do is click on "end this auction" then email the buyer and tell him that he cannot sell the item.
