Put up a Want To Buy ad on Uzitalk. I’m sure some M11/9 owner has a few PAM-2 mags laying around and has replaced them with zmags.

This sounds like me! PM me, I have 2 or 3 around (and a few more Otw w new MACs).

My Recon Order mags never worked for me. They just sit on my shelf, but I'd like to get them working correctly.

They will with a lage upper though, right?

Yes. I bought a lage upper and had to use double feed mags. I wanted to use the same mags for my stock upper so I bought a double feed bolt.

Be prepared to weld in a feed ramp. There is a reason RPB M10/9 (both SMG and semi auto open-bolt) has a feedramp welded in. If I recall correctly, Spreynpray (not a typo) tried to convert his SWD M10/9 with just mags and a bolt but did not achieve reliable results until he welded In a feed ramp.

My Texas MAC SWD Finished 10/9 has the feed ramp already. I believe all 10/9 have the feed ramp. I have not seen a factory 10/9 gun that doesnt.

Why would someone want to keep the single feed mags? The zytels are nothing but trouble and eventually youll kill the mag lips. A easy solution if you have a 10/9 is just replace the bolt with a double feed bolt. You'll have easy access to double feed mags that last basically forever and lage standard uppers use double feed mags..

You already said that.

I think I'm going to do this. I have 13 zytel mags coming with my new mac. If the lage steel feed lip reinforcement inserts work, I'll save a lot of money on mags and not having to buy another bolt for the oem upper.

You don’t really need one in a swd m10/9 bc it’s single feed and the mag acts as feed ramp.

Regular df m10/9s usually had the feed ramp. I don’t know if any/all the swd had them, but that wide ramp is to get the bullets double feeding from the left and right to the center.

My Texas m10/45 doesn’t have it but the magwell insert has it.

Good to know. Bonus. Is it like an m10/45 - basically just a bump-up to the barrel, or like the df ones in other m10/9s with a more pronounced “ramp.”

Mine has a feed ramp also. Sam sells one that’s for double feed you have to weld in. The main difference between them is the one he sells has ears on the sides. Has anyone been able to run a double feed bolt without changing the ramp first ?
