    Suppressor question

    Hello all:
    I love the knowledge base that I get from this forum.

    Two questions regarding suppressed guns.

    1. If we take a Full auto with a threaded barrel and screw a suppressor on;
    will it speed up the ROF(rate of fire) or slow it down?

    2. If we have a integrally suppressed gun will it shoot faster or slower than
    the same gun unsuppressed?

    Thanks

    1) All things equal, more backpressure, ROF should increase; however, this can change if for example you use a variable gas regulator or change out locking pieces (roller-locked/HK)
    2) All things equal, slower, but there may be differences besides just barrel porting (e.g. change gas port or locking piece)
