You should post your question, with a picture of the Hebrew marked lower over on 1919A4 dot com. I got this explanation on the Hebrew marking found on my Beretta 92FS frame:

From member Hershmeister on the 1919A4 forum:
That "symbol" is the Hebrew letter tzadik, or the equivalent of the English "Z". It's pronounced as a "tz" sound as in "tsar". The Israelis use it as their acceptance stamp and yes, since the letter "Z" it's short for "Zahal" (צה"ל) which is the acronym or the full name of the IDF:

    צְבָא הַהֲגָנָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל
    Tzva Hahagana LeYisra'l

Literally: "The Army of Defense for Israel" or..... Israeli Defense Force.
Interestingly, the word Tzaddik means "righteous person"

I was looking for a 92FS frame to dedicate to my .22lr conversion and just stumbled upon it. It was a bare frame only, but that was OK as I had enough spare parts to populate it. It doesn't show too well, but the frame is Italian made and stamped "AT in a box". That is an Italian proof mark for 1988.
