do you mean a mount to go from the 7/8-9 to say a 1/2x28?

Mike Prewitt who on a few of the FB pages seems like he will make just about any adapter out there if you can find a way to connect with him. He is on the mac and cheese fb page

I’m hoping to find something off-the-shelf if possible, but if not, I live close to Shaw and can have Joe Jones make something up for me. The inquiry mostly relates to wanting to have my MK9 recored and maintain compatibility with my M10/45.

I’d prob just get Ecco to make you one. They may not bc 7/8-9 is so coarse.

The other option for you is to have your barrel double threaded and put .578-28 on the tip then use the Ecco adapter.

See double thread

I double threaded my barrel. Has the original pipe thread and I made a shoulder that threads down the 5/8-24 to give my can a shoulder then I can use a 5/8-24 direct thread.

A 7/8-9 shouldn't be difficult with a lathe that will do 9TPI.

I asked for this when ordering a PS upper and they said no problem, which was cool, since then they’ve added it as a standard option on their site, for which I choose to take credit whether it has anything to do with reality or not. 😂

Nobody is currently offering direct thread hub mounts off the shelf in any of the old obsolete MAC thread pitches as far as i know. No 7/8x9, no 3/4x10 and no 5/8x11… only the modern finer thread pitches. The only thing available in those MAC threads would be thread adapters, 7/8x9-5/8x24 etc etc. I could be wrong, but I have never been able to find anything.

Best bet is to get a 1/2x28 or 5/8x24 stubby threaded barrel and then get a thread adapter to 7/8x9 that screws onto it and looks just like the MAC barrel, it keeps the gun looking original and classic but gives you the option of the modern thread pitch for direct thread mounts
