Was looking at these and considering giving it a shot. Can still get the Sterling kits for fairly cheap but they're starting to dry up.

Anyone have any experience with this semi-auto build kit from Indianapolis Ordnance? Details are pretty slim and I couldn't find much firsthand info from googling. Price seems a little high for it to not include a barrel. S/A barrels are not available ATM but I would be planning on building this as an SBR and so would like to use an original barrel. (I understand that this will require the front support ring to be lathed off to clear the front trunnion?)

I contacted Interfor about building a Sterling kit- they use the IO closed bolt tube/kit. They quoted me $1700 for the build. I decided on buying a Wise Lite for a lot less, but finding one to buy is getting harder and harder. I got smoked on three auctions on gunbroker before I snagged mine.
