Uzi Suppressor Size

This may be a stupid question but.....

Why do Uzi suppressors seem to be so large? I see some of the pistol sup. out there are much smaller. Will these smaller pistol type units work on an Uzi?

The smaller suppressors don't handle the larger volume of gasses as well and as a result there is more bore back pressure. The result is not only louder ejection port noise ('port pop) but a lot of acrid smoke and unburned powder blowing out as well.

ALWAYS use shooting glasses with suppressors!
