I know the are a lot of x-military guys here. I purchased the M998, and no one can seem to figure out what these were used for. Possible trailer hook up?
The only Trailer Hitches I ever saw were the massive "lobster claw" that locks into a fixed "donut" on the trailer tongue.
I'm gonna take a wild guess&say what you have is some kind of tie down point.
