I purchased this IMI transferable from Ruben, it’s at my dealer and waiting for my form 4 to be approved, the gun has been brought to full SMG spec, I am sure that it was done after the initial conversion in 1986.
The blocking bar is removed
The restictor ring was removed
A semi feed ramp is in place
The trunion was either bored out or replaced
A complete 8mm grip lug was welded in place, there is no bushing.
I has a SMG grip frame with AFS markings
And finally the semi-auto markings removed and remarked S.M.G UZI
The gun was totally refinished.

Does anyone have a clue to who did this work? Maybe someone can identify the font or style of markings.

I was going to provide a pic but even one single pic and it claims the file is to large to download.

I would not really worry about it. When you can, look it over for the makers info. I bought one from him five years ago and the makers info was on the top edge of the receiver side and was covered up when the top cover was installed.

I thought post 86 restrictor rings couldn't be removed. Isn't that an issue?
