I finally got my UZI reciever today!!!!!!
anyways here are my ???????
What I ordered was a model B post-ban 9mm reciever for 283.00 after everything.
What I got was a IMI pre-ban reciever.
here's what it says left side of the reciever.
UZI semi-AUTO
Model 45
.45 ACP
IMI _ ISRAEL
right side....
ACTION ARM, LTD
Phila.PA
.45-SA/
and then the serial #
It also has the BAYO lug...
Where/how do I find out if this gun was preassembled before 89/94
I honestly think it was since the inside of the reciever shows wear. and the out side does also.
this thing is anything but new.
You can see bolt wear in the rear, feed ramp wear,
wear where the trigger group/pistol grip hooks up
also the BAYO lug shows wear and the left side rear bottom rib and front sight right wing are dented from a definate drop on a hard surface.
also the gun has been re-painted over in a poor attemt to hide the outer wear/dents/scratches.
the wear in side is bright and shiny like any used firearms wear is.
Did action arms import just recievers?
did IMI sell just un-assembled revievers.
also the last two digits on the serial # are 89
Don't know about the UZI family but that's how you tell on a importated AK as to the year of importation(SP?)

but I would really like to leave the bayo-lug on it and put a metal folding stock on it if possible.
