Ok guys, How about some help.
As I have said before I am considering making some compensators for the Reising M50.
I need some measurements so that I can turn the OD to fit most guns.
If you can post the Diameter of your gun's comp it would be a great help.
Dim "A" between the slots on the comp. and the end of the comp.
Dim "B" between the slots on the comp and the barrel.
Dim "C" the large Dia. of the barrel next to the comp.
Also if you would a small description of your gun, and serial #( X out last 3 digits please).
Mine is Blued, 27 fin, 38,XXX.
Please give me Dim.s in ".0000" of an inch, if you have a "tenths Mic.", if not ".000" will do, but let me know that.
Thanks,
Peter Angstadt

Edit: Click to see photo of locations of dimensions.
All 3 dimentions are DIAMETERS.
Thanks again.

Peter, good deal. Give me a few days to take measurements with a micrometer as requested. Do you need any pics? I've got a 27 fin, long stock, parkerized, 105,XXX. Will work on it as time permits.

The FA only state
Dimension 'C'

Measured with a mic, the dimension for the diameter for 'C' on my parkerized Reising is .9217 - don't have the right calipers to provide A or B. Gun is 14 fin, serial 'S51xx' 1957 manufacture, came with 12 round mag holder, modified for 20 & 30 rounders and modified to fire FA only. HTH

Peter, thanks for the .jpg image clarification.....it sounds so simple now. I have a 27 fin, fully parked, long stock M50 with serial #1059XX, and the stock is stamped "USMC" as is the old (but serviceable) leather sling. My measurements are as follows:

A = .9468
B = .9434
C = .9370

Hope that helps. You have a guaranteed market from me if you can produce similar compensators. Thanks for the effort.

Mark
