Saw that too. I was shocked with disbelief.

I bet there’s some serious buyer’s remorse happening right now.

You fools! Didn’t you see the serial number! That’s Chuck Norris’ PERSONAL M-10!!!

Even ignoring the massive historical value, it comes with a bottomless magazine and chambers those special rounds that fling your enemies back ten yards through the air! I wish I’d seen the auction, I’d have gone at least $40k.

I saw the same listing and I know many comment on hkpro forum about that seller always getting insanely high bids. They joke it’s there red cloth and white gloves. I hate to accuse a seller Since I dont have any proof of foul play and I could be wrong but unless people purposely bid them up and not pay to mess with them I personally think there’s something fishy going on with there auctions.

There is way more to this story than is being shown. If this was a legitimate bid for the listed gun only (nothing added on behind the scenes), then the purchaser has to be one of the following (3): Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, or The Tooth Fairy.

I dont understand the front "pin" on that gun. are all m10/9's like that? seems like you have to drive out with a punch to separate the two halves?
or am I just being dumb and only have experience with my m11/9?

I wonder what the real story is. We've seen > 10k at auctions, but that's pretty wild.

I notice the top two bidders have won a number of auctions that require "gunbroker pay with freedomcoin". Something fishy.

That's an early pin. It's got a groove in the middle and the upper has a latch in the trunnion that retains the pin. I can get you better pics if you want. My PS M10/45 is like that.

I did some investigating, this seller may have shill bidders that are running up these auctions.

These are the suspect bidders I've found for sure after looking at 10 or so auctions. Reporting to gunbroker.

My best guess is that this individual misconfigured two of his bots to way too high a number lol. I hope they stick them with the fee.

I sold Keystone that gun!! He paid a fair average price for it. I hope he doesn’t have shillers uping the bids.....whomever paid that is either insanely uneducated on pricing, or just has too damn much money to throw around....wow!

At Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s most recent annual shareholder meeting, vice chairman Charlie Munger didn’t hesitate to make his personal distaste for Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) known.
“Of course, I hate the Bitcoin success, and I don’t welcome a currency that’s so useful to kidnappers and extortionists and so forth,” stated the 97-year-old value investor.

There's so much money that the Fed has generated over the last few years (and especially in recent months) that it should not be surprising if some folks treat it as a disposable commodity. Add to that the cases like the Dogecoin millionaires who gambled $9,000 that turned into $2M in weeks. So easy to come, so easy to blow.

Heck, maybe it's the Colonial Pipeline ransomers spending some of their extortion crypto.

FYI, most folks now know this but Gunbroker is collecting sales tax on pretty much every sale, regardless of if the seller states that in their listing. That just adds another 5-9% to the price, depending on your state.

Almost all of that seller's listings are "rare," "ultra rare" or "awesome."
I think he missed his calling, a used car lot awaits his talents.

I’ve thought the same thing myself. I’m pretty familiar w the seller. I know he deals to a clientele with excess financials, but also the dudes been a class III dealer about a year and routinely sells macs on average at $1-2k higher then Rubens prices. Either his buyers are f’n clueless with mg’s, or something fishy is going on. Either way $25k for a bare bones M10/9 Mac is RE-GODDAMN-DICULOUS!
