Need Brass buffer

Hello all, I need a peice of brass barstock to make a new buffer for a TASK style conversion with a collapsible stock. Thought maybe someone might have some left over that I could purchase from them.

Check with a local machine shop' and their scrap pile. I do not think you get the results you want with a CAR style - brass buffer... Try it, see what it weighs.

I am 12.8oz with stainless steel, but mine is a std rifle length, thing fires like a Grease Gun.

There is a fella on AR.com (Slash) that is making 8.2oz +/- CAR style buffers.
