I have a 686 .357 and I shut the cylinder and it will not open. I haven't done anything to it. I was just checking some reloads if they fit and tooke the rounds out and it would not open again.

Is it one of the new ones with the key lock...?

Wiggle the cylinder side to side as you push the release.....

Does the cylinder not move at all? If it rotates but won't open tighten the ejector rod, it probably just came unsrewed a little.

If it's a 6" barrel, it's a POS and you should sell it to me cheap. If it's a 4" barrel, it's still not a deal buster, but I won't pay as much... :evilgrin

The ejectopr rod is whats doing it. THATS FUNNY, because the same thing is happening to me right now. If you close the loading gate whent he ejector rod has been unscrewed somehow, maybe cuz you were spinning the cylinder or something, then the rod locks up and wont let the cylinder out. IM not exactly sure how to do it other than to force it out, or try and stick a little punch or something in the tip of the ejec rod and try to push it in a litl while you move the cylinder out.

DO NOT FORCE IT OPEN. use a wood match, toothpick, pick anything that wont damage the finish and just turn it a little and try. They do not have to come unscrewed much to make them bind. When you get it open put some locktite or finger nail polish on the threads.
